My kids' school messes up AGAIN

If you did not know that your the party was to take place after school, your child should have left at the end of the day. I also agree that teachers should have made sure that any students who stayed late had a note or permission form from their parents.

If you gave your son permission to stay after for the party, then of course the younger child was your responsibility. From your post, it seems like you did not know that it would take place after school. Is that right?

Your school will release a 5 yr old to a 9 yr old?

Our school has a large number of walkers. Grade 1 & up are released & that's that. There are teachers who notice if some one is not picked up, but kids can go home with any Mother out there. Not much regulation. K students are handed off directly to the parents, though.
