This happens to my DH when it's warm & he's active

He wears boxer briefs on those occasions - instead of plain ol' boxers. Also, if athletic pants worked before, maybe just pack a few extra pairs - it's possible he simply has sensitive skin.

We've both had this problem due to sensitive skin issues. What we've found works many have mentioned:

Lycra biker shorts work great under the clothes, but can be a bit warm during the summer.
Boxer Briefs IF they are long enough and don't ride up.
Body Glide works great.
Body powder works great too, but you have to keep applying during the day especially if the weather gets really warm and there's lots of sweating going on.

Avoid jeans and wet rides.

I wanted to throw out a tip I got from the dis boards awhile back...a few of you say to use regular deoderant... Try the spray on deoderant/anti-perspirant, like Arrid X-tra dry (whatever that is called). That's the only one I ever see in spray on, anyways, we spray our feet down with that every morning before hitting Disney, and keeps our feet from sweating so much. Same idea, just wanted to point out the Spray on for easy application and can get between the toes easier!

We used this during a trip to Sea World here in Texas (HOT!) and it worked so well, that my cousin who was being deployed to Afghanistan (Marine), made sure to take some with him.

Avoid jeans and wet rides.

This is the most uncomfortable thing EVER. Even w/o chafing!! I'm used to the desert where you dry in a sec...there is no fast drying in DL!!! Or..not in the winter anyway. I will be sure to do water rides on the day I wear cotton cargos....I've learned my lesson.

Definitely get the bodyglide! I saw that wonderful tip here and bought 2 of them a few years ago. We've used it every trip since then and never had a problem with chafing, blisters etc.

We just ran out so now I've got to get some more. It's a tiny stick but it does last a long time.
