Finally, I am just about done. I just need to add a few final touches but I couldn't wait to share. This is my dining room rehabed into a scrap/craft room.

Layout of the room:

Wall between A and B - After ( I'm putting shelves up between the windows to display jars with buttons and photos. I also need new shades and curtains. I also want to change the light, it's sooooo ugly!)

DH needs to help me change the 2 separate tops to one big top and I have a few more things that need homes but over all I'm super happy with the way it came out!

forgot to say the entire room is decked out head to toe from Ikea.

the wall color is called Autumn Wind from Lowes, it's the color of a latte in person.

Yay! Buffy!

When you said you were working on it, I hoped you would post pictures. Love the center table and all the storage! I wish we had an Ikea here already. They are supposed to be building one, but it's no where near opening yet.

Great job!

Holy CRAP that looks GREAT!! I'm so envious! Hope it makes you feel super creative!.............P

Thanks!!

It took a lot longer then I wanted but I wanted to do it right not just fast. I really thought about what I wanted and needed. What I love is I can have people over (If they don't mind standing).

I love Ikea. The living room is also about 90% Ikea. The sister painting is over my couch. It's a black and white photo of Amsterdam with a red bicycle.

LOL!!

I am dying to use it but I don't want to mess it up!!! And I'm putting crime scene tape across the doors to keep the kids out!!! LOL

My biggest issue is it's the room that is the direct path from the back door to the stairs, so I have to make sure people (including myself) don't use it as a dumping ground.

Wowzie Wow Wow Wow, it looks great Buffy!! so much space and storage, love the center table, your a lucky lady!! enjoy your new space!!!

Looks great. Lots of storage.

I'm in the process of converting a home office to a scrapbooking/craft room too.

I have the room 75% empty. I'm hoping to finish that this weekend and paint in the next week or so.

Like you, I'm planning on furnishing 90% of it with furniture from Ikea.

What do you have picked out for furniture?

The black/brown is the Besta line and the brown is all Varde, which is freestanding kitchen counters.

I really sat down and figured out exactly what I had in the way of supplies before buying the containers.

I figured out 32 of the spice jars fit in one drawer of the varde 12 drawer unit and 9 of the small Glis fit in one drawer.

Buffy, that looks super!

Enjoy your new space!

Looks great Buffy!!!! I tend to stand when I scrap... I have to really force myself to sit down... DH laughs at me because we have two office chairs and I stand! LOL

So far I have two sets of shelves from the Expedit line, 2 tables from the Vika line (although those are questionable). I also want to add a buffet type piece of furniture or console also but I have to figure out if I'm going to keep my current desk in there which is the kind that is kind of large and but closes up. Its just not going to match because I want to go with all white pieces.

I basically have to clean out the desk and will hopefully get to painting this weekend. I also want to pick out a new light fixture for the room.

I love it! My scrap room/office is all Ikea as well...Besta too! :) Great minds, think alike and all that...

Wow Buffy, it looks great!!! What a change, and now consider how much work space you'll have. Great job planning there!

WOW that looks fanomminal!!!! you did a great job planning it all out. Add me to the list of those wanting an IKEA

That looks amazing! I wonder if DH will let me repurpose our dining room:rolleyes1 (I guess I already know the answer:sad2:)

Buffy, it looks great! I know you have been working on this for a while now, its great to see it pretty much done!!! now get a scrapping!!!!!!
