well i wanted to create a blog regarding my training, nutrition and preperation for my first ever rundisney event... what a better event to start with than the 2013 TOT!

lets get somthing out of the way, at the time of writing this im looking down at a prosthetic leg and thinking... can i do this? are all the people that say i cant do this right? .... am i going to be swept? (thats the most terryfying aspect of this race, the being swept scares me!! i want to finish this!!)

well im going to do this! my training has already begun, im never going to be able to actually run... i got over that a long time ago, i can brief jog in 30 second bursts mixed with a fast walk.

last night i managed my first training session of 2 miles doing it in 17mins doing a fast walk with 2-3 30 second bursts to start.

my diet is good as ive been lifting weights for just short of 2 years now. due to my leg ive never looked into racing before, then i heard about this race.

people said ill never do it, its only a dream and just get over it! well i dont want to get over it.

i am going to do this!

im going to need alot of support and hopefully people can help with some of my questions about the course and what to expect.

im doing this solo, i will have my ipod blaring in my ears to keep myself motivated!!

but most and most important thing.... i must not get swept!!
 
well just got a personal best 3 miles in 35 mins, ... I AM GONNA DO THIS!!!
