Hi everyone :wave: just been jotting down an itinery and wanted to know what you all thought of it, firstly we are quite good at sticking to a plan i know it doesn't always go as planned and things can go wrong with having young children but we try to stick to it as much as possible.
We are also a family that likes to be on the go most of the time, hence not many lazy days. :Pinkbounc
We don't go until next January but i love the planning and want to work out what i need to book before we go and how much money to save!! :faint:
Here goes let me know what you think, too much? different meals? have i forgotten anything?etc etc

Arrive on a monday at 15.40 = check in, tea, early night
Tuesday = crystal palace for breakfast, magic kingdom & wishes if we arn't asleep by then.
Wednesday = Mgm studios & fantasmic (should i book dinner package)
Thursday = Lazy day bit of shopping and La Nouba in the evening and Downtown Disney, planet hollywood
Friday = Universal studios & hard rock cafe
Saturday = One of the water parks (weather permitting) and monster truck show in the evening (at florida citrus bowl)
Sunday = Epcot all day
Monday = Seaworld and dine with Shamu
Tuesday = Lazy day & Race rock
Wednesday = Dicovery cove and chef mickeys
Thursday = (DS 3rd birthday) Donalds breakfastosaurus & animal kingdom
Friday = Busch gardens
Saturday = Lazy day & shopping
Sunday = Islands of Adventure
Monday = have to check in at 3pm so any suggestions what we could do for day? Going with virgin so can check in DD

I know some of you will probably think we are mad :crazy: , we have been before a few times now but we are going with another family this time, they have never been before and have left all the planning to me :cheer2: i have asked them about any suggestions but they just said they want to do as much as possible as they probably won't go back because of cost.
I be grateful to hear what you all think or any other suggestions/ideas, thanks. :wave2:

Planning is great.

Seems like a good plan.

What we normally do once we have checked our luggage in at DTD, is go straight to the parks, normally MK so DD can have a last look around, then leave about lunch time once i have had a last look in the shops and bought a new hand luggage bag stuffed with souvenirs. :thumbsup2

Looking good, just one point I would personally move the first waterpark on the Sat to the following Tue as the waterparks are popular with the locals at the weekend esp if it is a nice weekend :) On the last Monday how about a visit to AKL after checking in at DTD and having a leisurely brekkie at Bomas then viewing the animals around the hotel?

Claire ;)

I would do the water parks during the week as the locals invade them at weekends.

Lol Gill, my thoughts exactly!! I usually recommend Discovery Cove at the weekend for that reason due to its capacity always being 1000 so never too crowded!

Thanks, well spotted will definately change the water park day, i have put D Cove on the wednesday because it's one of the party member's birthday and thought it would be quite nice to swim with the dolphins on that day.
Claire L = brekkie at Bomas is that character meal and how early do you need to book?

Ah DC do a special package for birthday's costs a bit but worth a thought! As for Boma it is not a character meal but is great food and location is wonderful, booking an ADR may be an idea if you are on a tight schedule, but not needed a huge amount of time in advance.

Claire ;)

Will definately look into the package at DC, thank you. :sunny:
I'll have to book the other disney meals so will do them all at the same time, think i'll go for Bomas, (i love looking round the disney hotels and kids love animals)
What about fantasmic dinner package, don't know much about this, have read a few bits, is it worth doing or just wait and watch the show only? :confused3

The Fantasmic package is the normal meal at a MGM reataurant and then seating in a reserved area at Fantasmic, at no additional cost. This seating is over to one far side and some people don't like it but we didn't find it too bad. It does mean you don't need to get there so early but in January I am sure normal seating wouldn't be too long a wait, although having not been in Jan cannot say for definite.

Claire ;)

Thanks the packages look really good at DC, don't think i'll bother with booking the meal at MGM, with everything else we have got planned there's no guarantee the kids will last another long day so think we'll see how they are that day.
What about AK on my DS 3rd birthday, we'll do donalds brekkie any other things they'll do there for him?

If you go to guest services when you get to AK I am sure they will give the birthday boy a badge to wear which could attract all sorts of attention from CM's :)

Claire ;)
