We will be in the theme parks from May 30-June 4. We are not that early a riser and my parents don't stay up late, so we're avoiding EMH all together. I also tried to take into account the BEST days to visit and other tips. I want to make some P.S. tomorrow, so let me here your thoughts/suggestions!

MGM @ 1:30? -> grab lunch at counter service somewhere
Dinner @ Mama Melrose's before 6.

Thursday -

Any and all suggestions are welcome - please help this be magical for us!!

:hourglass Countin' the days!!

Well here goes:
Arrival Day Sunday: If plane lands at 9:30, I doubt you'll make it to RFC by 11:30. Haven't used the new Magic Express, but it takes at least 15-20 min. to get off the plane, then to the bus maybe another 10 min, best of circumstances you leave airport by 10 or 10:10am. Ride to hotel, 20-30minutes, then you'll need to check in-another 1/2 or so. You're at 11:30 right there. You'll still need to get to RFC, which could take up to 30 minutes depending on where you're staying & the timing of the buses.

Monday: IMHO, I don't think going to 3 different parks in one day is good. Yes it can be done, but I personally wouldn't want to do it.Just too much time taken up in transportation. You're already doing MGM on Friday for the whole day. Most here seem to agree that one day at MGM is sufficient. I'd just stick to AK for that day.
Alot depends on how long you plan on being in AK, but you could make a PS for say 6pm at MK, then stay and watch wishes

Tues: Looks good to me

Wed: You've said your family isn't early risers? Isn't 8am PS for whispering Canyon kind of early? Are you staying at WL? Just wondering. I see on allearsnet.com that Sunshine food fair is closed till spring 2005, so I'd check on that one. For dinner, why not do a PS at a sit down? There's so many terrific sit down's here, more than any other park, seems a shame to do a counter here. Would be a nice break too, since you'll be there from 9am till end of illuminations

Thurs: Don't know if you can still see parade from outside Tony's, I know there's outdoor seating and the last I was there the parade passed by. Tony's isn't known for the most spectacular food/service though, just thought I'd give a forewarning. For dinner, you could try Crystal Palace. It's one of our family's favorites'. Buffet, the foods real good, Pooh and friends are here.

Fri: Have you checked into the Fanatasmic dining package? I've never done it, but have heard about it from others' here. Might be worth looking into

Sat: What times' your flight scheduled? Are you leaving FOR the airport at 4pm or is that what time your flight is? Yes, Sat is CROWDED, but since you've already done 1 day there, it shouldn't be a big deal

Good Luck, Hope you enjoy your trip.
BTW-I didn't check to see about historical crowd days, might want to double check that against what days you have planned. It really does make a difference.

Well here goes:

Ok. Arrival Day: We aren't going to check-in right away. We planned on going to the Rainforest Cafe 1st. I have to pick-up my AP at Animal Kingdom before we check-in. I have an AP rate for the hotel. So that eliminates 30 minutes, so we should be in better shape.

Monday - Let me clarify. Animal Kingdom is our least favorite park. We don't want to spend a lot of time here and it gets hot quickly! Also, we don't intend to actually GO to MK, just either view Wishes! from like Main Street or one of the Monorail resorts. What do you recommend? Maybe desert somewhere?

Wed. - We plan on getting up early this day. However, if the PS is 8, will be make it to EPCOT by 9? Also, we don't want to do a sit-down at EPCOT - too expensive and too many picky eaters!

Thurs. - Mom WON'T eat at buffets - I've tried!

Fri. - These are our 2 favorite restaurants. We've seen Fantasmic before so if we see it, great! But it's not on our "Must See" list.

Sat: We're leaving for the airport at 4. Flight's at 7:30 pm.

Does anyone have a link for this? What does mean?

Thanks to all!

Arrival day- seems kind of tight to me, but if you think you can make it, go for it! I like the idea of mini golf in the afternoon. We usually end up just going to DTD on our arrival day. However on my last trip a few weeks ago, we did Chef Mickey's for dinner on our first night. It was a great way to get in the disney "mood".

Monday- looks fine to me. I'm not a big fan of AK either. We went to MK last time just for Spectromagic and it worked out fine. If you plan on gonig in the park opposed to watching from a resort, make sure you get there at least an hour early... depending on crowds, might want to go closer to 2 hours prior to get a good spot.

Tuesday- Looks good, but I don't think Cosmic Ray's is there anymore...I think they replaced it with another type of food place, it was under construction when I was there earlier this month.

Wednesday- 8 is kind fo early of non early risers! I think it will be tough to be in EPCOT for 9n unless you scarf down your breakfast!

Thursday- Again, it might be tough to be at MK for 9 after CHef Mickey's at 8.

Friday- If you want to eat at the Primetime cafe, I suggest you make PS. Fantasmic was great, but again, go to the theater as early as possible to get a seat. When I was there the crowds were minimal so we actually got a seat and only went 1/2 hour in advance...

Saturday- I don't blame you for ending your trip at MK! I'm the same way.

Have a great time! And don't forget to tell us all about it when you get back. I'll be going probably the 1st or 2nd week in May next year!

Melissa

Sounds like you are going to have a great time. We wil be arriving the week before Memorial day. :wave2:

I just got back and we ate at Cosmic Ray's twice, they have a puppet guy doing a show, maybe just early in the day because I think we ate dinner there and he wasn't doing his "thing". It's like a Las Vegas lounge show meets Chuck E. Cheese meets Alien. I found it pretty annoying but you can sit places and not hear it, my 7yr old loved it though. :confused3
