We are leaving on Wednesday for Disney, and this will be my DH's fourth trip. We've always done at least two character meals (one breakfast, one dinner), every time we've gone.

Our children REALLY like the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show that is on the Disney Channel. My DH asked me this morning to check and see if there is a meeting place for the Clubhouse characters. I just looked at him. So he repeats, can the kids meet the Clubhouse gang? You know, Mickey and Minnie and Donald and all of them?

:rotfl: Yah, babe. I'm sure somewhere in Mickey land we will be able to find MICKEY. :rotfl:

I just thought this was too funny, and thought I'd share.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank you for that, I really needed a good laugh.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I actually can't stop laughing at this one.

Hi!

But in your past trips to Disney, did your husband see any characters (Mickey and friends). Does he remember? :rotfl:

Oh yes. My DH has had a few "encounters" with characters. On our Honeymoon, he couldn't tell the difference between Chip and Dale (my poor DH had a neglected childhood - he didn't go to Disney ONCE.) It took the entire staff and patrons at the Garden Grill to point out Chip and Dales differences.

When we went in 2003, he had on a Goofy shirt, and Goofy in the park followed us around for a while, and would point to himself and then to my DH (who is 6'4, maybe 200 lbs, and looks, well . . . . Goofy.) Goofy kept swiping DH's hat, and trying to put it on his head.

So yes, he's familiar with the characters. Which made his comment all the funnier. Apparently, my DH REALLY needs a vacation, and REALLY needs to go to Disney!

OHHHHHHHHHH! you are so lucky leaving on Wednesday, but when you get back my trip will not be over with. :thumbsup2. How many days are you staying? I'm a total freak about Disney, it is the place where I relax the most with family. We have been going every year since 2003 and last year we went to Disneyland (but my heart is with Disney World). I got hooked the first year and now it's Disney all the way. Even when I go to California with my husband (his family is from there) there is something magical missing in our trip). Hopefully we will be lucky enough to go each year. I am sending you some pixie dust for Wednesday pixiedust: Have a magical vacation.

WDWFRV - we'll be there from Wednesday (25th) to Sunday (29th)! I LOVE Disney! My DH asked me how much Disney would be "enough". Idealy, I'd like to go ever three or four months for a week or so!

I think Disney should just be a way of life! :)

Twingle - I know exactly what you mean by a way of life. Me too I would go every 6 months if it was my way ha!ha! Do you drive or fly to go there.

I hear ya! My DH still has trouble keeping all the princesses names straight & we've been 10 times as a family! My oldest DS13 gets a good laugh at Dad trying to figure out who is who. Even my DS3 knows all the characters by name and "helps" Dad when he's stuck. DD4 just ignores him when he's calling them by the wrong name and rolls her eyes. :rotfl:

Gotta love the clueless Disney types!

My dad will just act like he doesn't know who is who, he thinks it's funny to bug my son. My DH, bless his heart, usually does not honestly know. We all try to help him out. :)

WDWFRV - sometimes we fly, sometimes we drive. We flew last December, and we're flying on Wednesday, but we drove in June. Of course, that time it was just my Mom and I with the kids, and we had a BLAST! I like to fly, because we get there so fast (2 hours!15 minutes!), but when we drive we drive straight through (usually about 16 hours with stops), and it works out because we leave at night and my kiddos will usually sleep for quite a while!

Twingle - We have no choice but to fly, we live too far. Can I ask you a question while we are here. I made reservations on Jan. 4th at Ohana's for breakfast. Have you ever did this character breakfast, if so, how was it?

:rotfl: Well at least my DH isn't alone in clueless land then. He is amazed that I knew how to tell Chip and Dale apart too.

Oh and Ohana is WONDERFUL!!!!! We are doing it again this year on our way out of Disney. Saved the best for last. :teeth:

Prestonsmomma - Thank you very much for your response regarding the Ohana Breakfast.

Twingle - For answering all my replies, you are such wonderful people.

Oohh! Ohana + Character Breakfast = Tonga Toast aka MANNA FROM HEAVEN!

Yum, yum, yummy! Tonga Toast is delish - have a piece for me!

We went to Ohana when we just had my son. We haven't been since 2003 because sadly, Stitch freaks my girls right out. Hopefully they'll grow out of it. In the meantime, we do Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace.

You'll have fun though!

Hey, I thought that the Tonga Toast was at the Kona Cafe, I was disappointed that it was not at the Ohana's breakfast. Because when you go on allearsnet.com, they are two different restaurants. (I'm confused now). YOUPPI I get to taste the Tonga Toast. :cool1:

I don't think Ohana has Tonga toast anymore but I could be wrong. We didn't have it I know when we were there in November.

Oh no, well I will have to go to Kona Cafe to have a taste of them.

LMBO!!!! O.K., I don't go all the time but I have been around 12 times in the last 15 years. I am a character hunter, I average around 50-60 each trip.

Well, I have to laugh at myself because when I was reading your post I was thinking, "That would be cool to have the Club House Mickey Gang there, but the show's to new. Disney wouldnt' have them out there that fast".  :lmao: :rotfl: :confused3 :lmao: :teeth: DUH!!!!!

Ohana is the BEST...we think that might be our favorite meal now!! ENJOY...it is a great time!

I haven't been to Ohana since 2003, but they did have it then (or something very much like it!). In any event, the food is yummy, and you'll have a great time!
