We had such a great trip May 4-9. We LOVED the All Star Music Family Suites. I don't think I would ever go back to staying in one room. We had plenty of room and 2 bathrooms. I loved having the kitchenette, and we had breakfast in our room every day but the last day. Hopefully on our next trip we can stay at the new suites in the new value hotel. I have a tie for my two favorite meals: lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (I had the turkey-YUM) and breakfast at Tusker House (SO SO good). Our older ds has multiple food allergies and we had no issues whatsoever. The chefs were all wonderful and made him whatever he wanted. Here is a short breakdown of our trip:
Day 1: Arrived around lunchtime. Had a quick lunch at the food court and then headed to MK. The first thing we did was go to Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. My kiddos loved it and my husband was "that guy". My boys made dh wear his sticker all week. LOL We got to do a lot of big stuff that day: Space Mtn, Buzz Lightyear, Thunder Mtn, Splash Mtn and Haunted Mansion. I think a lot of people were watching the parade so the wait times were small. We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner where we celebrated ds' bday (with an allergy free cupcake!). The food was good, but we had to wait SO long for our table, and I had made the res long ago. Ugh!
Day 2: We did MK again. We did some other stuff the kids wanted to do, and also did Thunder Mtn and Splash Mtn again. We never made it to Peter Pan because the wait time was so long, and the fp return time was so long. The kids loved PIrates of the Caribbean, and dh and I got our Dole Whips-yum! We had lunch at LTT-SO yummy. I had never eaten there before, but will definitely be back. I had the turkey and dh had the pot roast. SO SO good!
We left the park in later afternoon and hung out at the pool for the rest of the evening.
Day 3: Epcot. Kids LOVED the Test Track, as did I. They also loved Nemo and Turtle Talk, not so much the universe of energy. We never got to do Soarin. I had no idea that was one of the rides you needed to get a fp for right away. Dh took the kids on the tamer version of Mission Space, which they said was awesome. We explored a few of the countries in WS, and loved all of the character topiaries. We ate dinner at Garden Grill, which was really yummy. My kids loved the roasted chicken.
Day 4: We went to Hollywood Studios. I ran to get a fp for TSM and dh and the boys ran to sign up for Jedi Training. We go to do both-whew! I have to say TSM was one of my top fave rides-so fun. The boys loved Jedi Training of course, and they also loved Tower of Terror. We ate lunch at 50's Prime Time. The food wasn't as good as I remember, so I think we will skip it next time. The kids really didn't love it either. I think we will try sci fi next time. We got to see Mater at HS, which made for a fun family pic. We also saw Woody, Buzz, an army guy, and Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc. We spent time at the pool in the evening.
Day 5: Last full day
which was Mother's Day. We went to AK. We had breakfast at Tusker House. OMG SO yummy! We literally didn't need to eat the rest of the day because we were so stuffed. I would definitely go back there. We got to do the safari after breakfast, and then went to Expedition Everest. I reluctantly went on even though I really didn't want to. The kids loved it but I hated it! It made me really queasy
The kids loved the Kali rapids-we got soaked. We did Dinosaur, which I loved. We left AK mid afternoon and went to DTD. The kids loved the lego store and of course the toy store. My younger ds did the knight package at BBB, which was really fun and cute. They were so sad to be leaving the next morning and are already asking when we can go back!
