This is why I am up at 5:30 am. I was sleeping just fine, when I woke up to him snoring at about 4:30. Usually, if I tap him while he is doing this, it will stop. If it continues, I can get him to turn onto his side, and it will stop.

Not today! He is a side snorer as well as a back snorer today!

Luckily I got to sleep early last night, it is not so bad being up early now.

Just needed to vent!

I feel your pain! I think I probably average 3 hours of sleep a night due to my husband's snoring. He has put on weight over the last 5 years, and his snoring has increased:( I've tried everything-ear plugs, white noise, elbows in the ribs:rolleyes: -nothing works-and he refuses to go to the dr. There are a lot of people who have success with a CPAP machine. You might want to have your DH checked out for sleep apnea. Good Luck!

That is why I'm up so early today. I could not take it anymore so now I'm up for the day.

I know where you are coming from. I got a good night's sleep last night because DH is away on a business trip. I use to hate him being gone but now I enjoy a good night's sleep too much to miss him.

My DH snores too. But I am lucky all I have to do is shake him and tell him to roll over and that stops the snoring. ::yes::

edited to add: most of his snoring is from allergies, during the winter he rarely snores.

but I bet you steal all the blankets

LOL, yep you're right Pop Daddy.

I don't steal the blankets...I take a sleeping bag to my DD's room. I sleep MUCH better on the nights my DH is snoring...he snores in EVERY position & I really want him tested for sleep apnea...he just hasn't gotton there yet.

My DBF snores too, no matter what position he is in he snores loudly. I will tell him to roll over because he is snoring in my ear and he will say sorry and turn over and start all over again. Then I can't sleep for a few hours because of how loud he is. Alot of times I end up going to the couch and sleeping with the dog and then when he wakes up and finds me on the couch he gets mad at me. I will never win!!

I feel your pain. DBF snores like a buzzsaw. It's awful. I usually have to get to bed an hour before he does or there is no chance of my falling asleep. Even then , I often wake up to it in the middle of the night.

And he refuses to do anything about it. I think he's afraid of the doctors office...

My DH is the worst! When we went away with friends and stayed @ Hard Rock we had adjoining rooms, with one of the doors almost completely close he kept our friends awake.

However I have learned to drown him out.

I am sitting here listening to my roommate snore right now and it is AWFUL!!!

She is such a tiny girl but the snoring that comes out of her mouth is worse than my boyfriend's father!

Sometimes I have to leave teh room it annoys me so much

Welcome to my world :rotfl:

:faint:

If DW Sue doesn't get enough sleep, she snores all night long. Then I don't get enough sleep. I have some of those foam earplugs that they give you when you have an MRI. I put those in and steal the covers. That usually works.

I am one of the lucky wives of DH who talked to his doctor and got tested. He would snore in any position and then he would have spells of apnea. He had to have a sleep study which he says was one of the worse things he has had to go through and now he is a "proud owner" of a CPAP machine. It was very tough to get used to at first, but he does not complain any more about it. Best of all....HE DOES NOT SNORE ANY LONGER!!!!!!!!! I can sleep again! It is wonderful!
