I can't yell at him for it! :rolleyes1

So I'll just vent here.

First of all, I hate bumper stickers. Always have, always will. Don't want one. He knows that.

He came into the house yesterday and said, "Nice bumper sticker on your car!" and I was baffled. He kept playing it up, saying, "I really like the bumper sticker" and things like that. I went out to look at it was a little silver sticker (about 4" square) with WV Alumni on it. He wanted to surprise me and signed me up for my school's alumni association because I'd been talking about it and never did it.

It was so sweet of him to do!

But I still hate bumper stickers. :rotfl2:

That's really sweet of him. Nice to know that his hearts in the right place. :thumbsup2

I agree with the whole bumper sticker issue but I have a great fix for it. Buy the magnetic sheets. Adhere the bumper sticker to the magnet and then put the magnet on the car. Tell him that this way when you sell the car you still have your sticker (doesn't help now but in the future...).

I hate bumper stickers too. I have a little Italian flag reflector thingy on my bumper, but that's the extent of it. I think they're kinda tacky. However, I love reading the funny ones on other cars. I once missed my exit because I was reading someones bumper stickers! :lmao:

I'm not a fan either. I had a friend once that bought an old beater of a car and he plastered the back of that thing with every bumper sticker he could find. The entire back/bumper/trunk/ everything had stickers covering it.

How funny! I am the same way.........VERY anal about stickers. I have a base sticker on my windshield (must have in order to get on base) but I refuse to put the school sticker on my car (just tell dd that she cannot use my car - she has her own). She tried pushing my "bumper sticker button" when she got accepted into her first choice college and asked me if she got me a bumper sticker that says "CU Mom" or "Buffalo Mom" would I put it on my car...I just looked at her and said "I'll take a hoodie in size M". NO BUMPER STICKERS!!!!!!!!!

Yup.. Same way.. I hate Bumper Stickers
Thank Goodness.. so does my DH !! :woohoo:

DH and I are the same way...I will not put a sticker on our vehicles. DH was telling me about a prank someone pulled at his work. One guy put a Backstreet Boys bumper sticker on the back of some rude, nasty acting guy's car! It was pretty funny, not being a part of it, but if that ever happened to me, I would be livid! Obviously DH works with a bunch of mature, grown men ;)

I dont care who you are, thats just funny

I hate bumper stickers.

I think it looks really stupid when people don't remove political ones like SO and SO in '04, they did/didn't win remove it already! Or the SO and SO is not my Governor/President or whatever, like it or not they are. I may not want them either but I am not going to put it on my car and look like a DREN....OMGosh remember that word from Happy Days? I guess I am showing my age! :lmao:

I would never put them on my car but I like reading them on others.

They do a great job of covering up rust though! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

If I find a bumper sticker I like, I'll buy it and tape it to the inside of my rear window. :) That way I can still have my cute saying or whatever, but not have it stuck to the car.

TOV

I hadn't thought of the day when one of the kids came home with one. Maybe I can do the old "Put it on your dad's car!" Or "Let's frame it so I can keep it forever." :thumbsup2

Confession time:

When I was in college, there was this guy who did my best friend WRONG. So while he was at work we went to the parking lot where his car was, and put a "I break for sexy men" bumper sticker on the back of his car. We sat there in the back of the parking lot and watched him leave---he didn't notice it and drove off. I still laugh outloud when I think of that. :rotfl:
Never did find out how long he had it on there before he noticed it.

So no, I don't like bumper stickers either!!

:rotfl:

I got that same sticker in the mail a couple weeks ago. . . it's sitting in a pile on my desk and that's most likely where it'll stay.

I like the Disney clings and would probably put Disney a Disney related sticker on my car but the others I don't like but I do like reading them, just not on my car.

I am far from a bumper sticker person. I like reading them on other people's cars, but none for me. At a place I worked at they had window decals for the employees, I didn't even do that, everyone knew me security wise. But in the 80's, when the baby on board craze was on, I did have a sign-I stop for S&&, then the extra brake light, you know the kind you bought from Pep Boys or advance because not many cars yet had the extra brake light, fell from the ceiling. So at night, when I put on the brakes, my hanging brake light would illumunate my mazda and people could see the sign in red light just like in Amsterdam's red light district:rotfl2:
That didn't last long, because my BF didn't think it was too funny.

That LOVED her Bumperstickers....that was when a car actually HAD a bumper, made of metal? Anyway, she would make up her OWN bumperstickers like: "Octobers bright blue weather"/"This too shall Pass" and silly things like that.;) I miss the old metal bumpers....:sad1:

The alumni one?

Oh come on! Put it on! I won't laugh! :teeth:

Yep! That's the one! And it's not going on the car! I'm with you on the bumper stickers are tacky thing. Especially once they age and start peeling at the edges - no thank you! I also hate the ribbon magnets too - so tacky (no offense ribbon magnet lovers! They're just not my thing!) Then you get the nice decorative paint job when someone steals the magnet and people are left with darker paint in the shape of the ribbon where the sun faded the rest of the paint job:rotfl:
