My husband just called me a geek!!! pirate: I just got back from shopping for all of the needed necessities for our trip in 13 days and he thought I was nuts to buy rainponchos from the Dollar Store. I keep reading here on the board how it can rain everyday in June in the afternoon, so I want to be prepared and not out a lot of money. He goes, yeah right, like we ever going to need them. I just bought these cool little misters that have a clip to attach to our backpack and all he could say is that they are not needed and all they will do is leak. Oh and that misters do not work in humid weather. And then he goes to say "I will have to carry them" and I said to him, "this stuff all together ways maybe a 1/4lb" :goodvibes .Well since many of you have been to WDW before and many of you have used them before down there I think I'm going to take your word over his :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Let's see if he complains when he gets a nice cool squirt in the face or when he is still dry after a rain :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I swear men are sometimes clueless. My luck though, it will be cold and dry in June and then he'd rub it in my face :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You will need the ponchos and after a good rain is a wonderful time to be in the park because the crouds sometimes thin out. He will probably be fighting over the fans!! My kids just bring small squirt bottles and we let them squirt each over and us when ever they want to - it really helps on a hot day.

Have a wonderful time on your trip!!

My DH gives me a hard time about this kind of stuff too. He trys to play the role of "the practical, glass is half empty, deep thinker." (like your DH saying the fans would just leak). I love it when I proove him wrong though. Luckily, he can take defeat pretty well, he's got a good sense of humor. :rotfl2:

June Disney... He may call you a geek now, but soon he'll call you his brilliant angel!

Your DH reminds me of my DH. My attitude is ... if you'd rather curse the darkness than turn on a light, so be it.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Wait until he gets there and sees how much they charge for that crap in the parks.

I would like to see him try to make it in the parks without a mister fan....he would probably be forking out $3.50 for bottled waters to pour on himself all day...or would just want to hang at the pool...

Just for info to those reading the thread who are freaking out...bottled waters are $2 in the park, not $3.50. I guess it just seems like $3.50.

When we go to WDW we think of it as a fun vacation and we don't pay attention to the prices. It's not easy but it's fun!

I'm even more of a Geek! I buy all this stuff and what remains goes into the Disney Box for the next trip. Ponchos from Five Below, ready made firstaid kit with bandaides, moleskin and what ever does not expire, a travel size Bath & Body body spray (we refill before the trip,) etc.

You're not a geek. I just spent $16 on a mister and $14 on two ponchos at the World this May. It was hot most of the trip so the mister was much needed, and it rained on the last day we were there... I guess I'm the geek for not being more prepared...
