How can he watch this movie again?! - and he's laughing at some scenes like he's never seen them before. Which is entirely possible because he often falls asleep during movies and shows we "watch" together. :rotfl:
Anybody else's spouse watch movies every time they are on TV? popcorn::

No spouse here- but I'll watch Funny Farm with Chevy Chase every time it's on. LOVE that movie!

Also, I'll watch Hope Floats and Rudy. I always need a nap after Rudy. I've seen it 74 billion times, and cry from the time he tells his Dad he's going to Notre Dame, and then hit a full on sob when the players are putting their jerseys on the coaches desk.

Can you blame him? It's an awesome movie! Lol. I've easily seen it over 100 times and I still laugh at certain parts. Like the shooting gallery or when Jay is asking Kay if he ever "flashy thinged" him or when Jay gives Kay the finger. COME ON!

I'm the say way with Ghostbusters though. I could watch that movie 20 times in a row and still laugh out loud.

You think that's bad? I watched part of Men in Black on TNT at the hospital with my grandma, then came home, put on TNT to find them playing it again, and still have it on right now. pirate:

I don't have a spouse, but my sister watches Shrek, Men in Black I and II, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter whenever they're on tv. We have those movies on dvd, lol. To be fair, I'll watch Clerks 2 and Grease whenever they air on tv. :)

I still haven't seen that movie for the first time. I guess I should put it on my list of things to do.

Your husband is exactly like me! It's not like we don't own the DVDs. I just have to watch a favorite movie if I happen to catch it on TV. DH refers to them as "special editions". :happytv: I'm also guilty of falling asleep during movies that we watch together. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I've watched The Proposal so many times. It's not like I search for the movie. Most of the time, I turn on the TV and it's on. :confused3

How can one NOT watch Men in Black every time it's on????? MiB2 is a little disappointing, being as it's so short. Somebody should edit the two movies together...

DH is the same way with Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. It doesn't matter if the movie has just started or if it's in the last half hour. A few weeks ago (was it 4th of July they showed it a million times?), he and dd watched the end of Independence Day on a Friday, the beginning on Saturday, and the middle on Sunday. :lmao: It seemed like every time I walked in the family room, Independence Day was on. AGAIN.

My husband has quite a few movies in the 100 plus club:

Jaws (0riginal)
A few Good Men
The first three Star Wars movies -not the newer remakes

There must be something about that movie because when my dd was in middle school she would watch it EVERY morning before school for the longest time. She had it on a VHS tape and it was a part of her morning ritual. And she laughed at it every time.

Maybe you are the weird one? I have many movies in my 100+ club.

Oh and I love MIB2 as well.

PS...I watched some of it last night.:lmao:

Yep, my DH has his movies, too.

Hunt for Red October
Crimson Tide
The Holy Grail
Rudy

Heather

MIB is fun, but it'll never make it to my 100 club.

Movies that will are You've Got Mail. Gotta watch it every time, its like a drug for me. It Could Happen To You and Steel Magnolias. Every time. When Harry Met Sally used to be there too but I've been able to let go of that 1 lately.

I sympathize. You at least get off with just 1 movie, tho. Any time the HP series is on or Lord of the Rings, DH is front and center. Don't get me wrong, I absoluteyl adore HP, but with ABC Family doing the entire weekend EVERY weekend, it gets old real fast.

I do admit to watching Steel Magnolias and Fried Green Tomatoes every time they are on. Unfortunately, or fortunatel for DH, they aren't on all that often!

This thread is funny. And one of the funnier things is that I have the movies on DVD and will still record and watch it on TV.

If Stars Wars, "A New Hope" is on, I can't help but watch it. I am scared to think how many times I have seen that movie considering I saw it in the theater when it came out in 1977.

I watch the Harry Potter movies every single time they're on, and whenever we travel, the DVDs come with me and I watch them on the plane! Could watch them over and over.

Dirty Dancing is another one - I must have watched it well over 100 times! Whenever it's on TV, I either watch it or DVR it!

DH isn't like that with too many movies, but with TV shows it's a different story. He must have watched every single episode of Frasier and Seinfeld about 50 times and yet we STILL DVR them all, he STILL watches them and he STILL laughs his head off at them! I don't get it at all :confused3

There are more than a few movies in my "100 club". (Among them, the original Star Wars trilogy, Lord of the Rings, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Monty Python, several animated Disney films, etc*)

When I am painting in the basement, I will turn on the TV for background noise, and I would generally prefer it to be a movie with which I am already familiar and like, so that I could pretty much tune it out, and look up only for my favorite scenes.

* My kids are pretty much ensuring that some Disney films are hitting the 100 club as well. DD has been stuck on Little Mermaid for a while, and DS is on an Incredibles kick.
