We are taking a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale next year during March break, and will spend a week in Orlando area first. I had agreed with my husband that we would have a really quiet first week, hanging out at the resort (we're staying at Windsor Hills) and maybe doing one WDW park day and a day at Typhoon Lagoon or Bilzzard Beach with our leftover days and options from old tickets.

But I can feel the need to plan hitting me already, and it's only July! For example, I'm thinking I'm going to have to check once it's posted to see if there is a P&P party during our stay so I can add on another evening at the Magic Kingdom (we loved the P&P party during our last visit), and wondering about how to stretch out an extra day or two in the parks during the week. I guess it's true that once you're addicted, you're addicted!! Now I just have to break it to my husband that we'll likely be spending half the week at the parks. Oh well, he'll have lots of time to relax on the cruise:)

What is a P&P party?

BTW, hubby won't kill you, YOU have to plan the vacation that he is going to relax on, so don't worry!! Be happy!!

Thanks for the reassurance - I'm sure he'll be fine with it once we get there.

Sorry, I should have spelled out the P&P Party. It is the Pirate and Princess Party they hold on selected nights where they open the Magic Kingdom for the evening only to people who buy special event tickets. The kids (and adults if they wish) can dress up like pirates and princesses and there are treasure stations where they give out beads to the kids, an amazing fireworks display and parade, and you have access to all the top attractions with very minimal waits since there are fewer people in the park. We went in March of last year and left at midnight - it was SO much fun and I really hope they hold them again in March of next year.
