My heart is breaking..

Im so sorry for both of you. You just hate to see your kids getting their heart broken. I know its part of growing up but still very hard on everyone.

:grouphug: I feel your pain. Two of my DD's tried out for school musicals last year & didn't make it.

I think I hurt more than they did. I tried to be very positive about it & say, "Well, I hope you're not going to let this get you down & that you're going to try again next year." They both said they were.

I hope she keeps a positive attitude about it. I'm sure there are a ton of other things at school she can get involved in, although I know how much not making the team/squad/group can hurt.

:grouphug: and a pint of Ben and Jerry's for you and your DD.

post the coaches e-mail address he needs to here from us

you poor thing my DD tried out last wed and did not make it. It was one of the worst feeling I ever had she was so upset they told her to go to camp in the summer which is a couple of hundred dollars. The good news she is ok with it now I hope Kim

Awwww, that is tough. We have been there before too, with both kids, and ourselves too when we were young. It is tough, always a heartbreak, often even more-so for the moms and dads who want nothing but good for their kids. Good advice here too. She will do well. We are rooting for her.

One of the toughest days of my life was when my oldest daughter tried out for the University of Texas Longhorn Band & didn't make it. It was devastating. All four of us cried...

Good news is, time heals all wounds. DD got over it before DW & I did! Feeling your pain...

I'm sorry, bless her heart. Know the disappointment she must be feeling and the hurt you feel for her {{hugs}}. I remember when our son trying out for HS football. His team mates were twice his size and I held my breath as he was tossed about a week before he was cut. He then decided to run cross country/track and loved it! As a freshman, he started out the slowest on the team and by his Sr year he was their top runner!! Altho we don't know why, sometimes things happen for a purpose. I hope she will keep a positive attitude and a window opens for her where this door was shut. :goodvibes

I'm so sorry for you and your DD. Somebody should have warned us that it hurts so much more when your kids hurt. It's much worse than being hurt yourself.

Thanks to everyone for your pixie dust, hugs, and nice thoughts. The next day, my DD was over it! Man, kids bounce back fast. I was worried it would make her not want to go back to school! She dressed up in a nice skirt, cut top/blazer and held her head high. Did it ever make me proud! I think all of you sent her secret prayers and they worked! :flower:
