my head fell off

this has never happened to me before. I was just sitting still and thinking about something and I felt a tingling in my throat and the next thing I knew my head was on the floor. I was like "I'm not touching that" so I came here to ask for advice.
Also, should I call out of work tomorrow? I have a cordless phone so I will bring the phone over to my head. We have to make the call ourselves.
Or should I just be strong, put one foot in front of the other and go to work?

BTW, I do have health insurance but I am not positive that this kind of trouble is covered. I don't think that it is. If it is, the co payment would be about $75. for ER so I'd rather wait until regular office hours and pay the $15. instead.
What would you do?

:scratchin

This is a tough one :confused3

I'm don't have any medical training, so I dare not give any advice for fear of being flamed.

I guess your head will just have to stay there on the floor until someone more qualified to help you comes along.

Good luck with this project. :wave2:

Oh, you'll be fine. It happens all the time. Here's some pixie dust. It fixes everything. pixiedust:

Wow! :thumbsup2 You type so well while headless!! You couldn't even see the screen, yet you made no typos! :cool1:

Or were you balancing your head on top of your neck while typing? Either way, I am impressed! :thumbsup2

Tell me
Why'd I have to go and get myself decapitated?
This really is a major inconvenience, oh man, I really hate it
Such a drag, now ... Can't eat, I can't breathe, I can't snore
I can't belch or yodel anymore
Can't spit or blow my nose or even read Sports Illustrated

Oh no
Why'd I have to go and get myself all mutilated? (yeah, yeah)
I gotta tell ya, life without a head kinda makes me irritated
What a bummer
Can't blink, I can't cough, I can't sneeeze
But my neck is enjoyin' a pleasant breeze now
Haven't been the same since my head and I were separated
No no no

u need to gone disbility. let da gubment pay yo bills. :thumbsup2 i lurned bout dat here today.

You ought to be able to get yourself into work. Take one of those Boppy pillows used for babies, and prop your head up on it... it'll work fine. You'll be a stronger person for it.

I can understand your concern, especially with your uncertainty about health insurance.

I think at this point in time, your best bet would be to get some heavy duty duct tape and use it on your noggin.

At least, that is what we do when heads roll at my work.

How funny is that. I was thinking duct tape too! You beat me to it. So, I second the duct tape method. Should get you back rolling.. :rotfl:

Looks to me like a wonderful opportunity just dropped in your lap. Literally! Why not drop your head off before work at your favorite salon for a facial and new hairdo? It can then be delivered to your home and be waiting when you arrive. :thumbsup2

Oh Dear :guilty: YOU MUST HAVE BEEN THE ONE SITTING IN THE ROW AHEAD OF ME AT THE MOVIE THEATRE THE OTHER DAY... I'M SORRY I made the silent wish for your head to fall off !! :rotfl: :lmao:

2 words ---

Duct Tape. You will be as good as new.

Now's the perfect time to find out if a human head really does weigh 8 pounds.

Is this you???? :teeth: Quit your whinning and get to work :thumbsup2

You must work with my husband, because heads have been rolling at his company. :rotfl:

Hurry and tape it!!!!! Get yourself on YOUTUBE and you will become an overnight sensation! Perhaps land a Reality TV Show deal....
Get those cameras rolling!!!!

I definitely think I would wait and save the money for an in-office visit. Who wants to spend an extra $60 to go to the ER when you can just put the head next to you and wait until the next day?

Then the doctor would weigh your head and find out if it is indeed 8 lbs. If it weighs less, then maybe you should check into why your brain is a bit on the lightweight side.... :rolleyes1
