When I first started reading these boards, I thought most folks were a little over the top. I was already a huge Disney fan, but it wasn't until I started the process of buying my first DVC that I began to understand. This board is great! It not only has a wealth of info, but LOTS of nice, helpful people. It makes me smile to read the excitement and enthusiasm of so many!! I can have a stressed day, get on the boards and relax. Thanks to everybody for sharing the pixie dust!!!!

Yes, it may seem like pixie dust overload at first-we are a happy bunch for the most part Disney should be thankful for the DisBoards though because I took the enthusiasm of current DVC members into account when I decided to buy DVC.

The DIS is a great place to escape when you're not actually at Disney!! There are so many wonderful, helpful people on here, too.

Funny you should say that, as many people have commented that they find the DVC boards in particular to be full of lots of negativity and unhappiness.

I think some changes trigger a lot of negative comments ($95 for the privilege of using too many points to stay at a regular WDW resort????).

And of course, negative posts generate a lot more comments than the "gee we just had a great trip" posts.

But the people here really shine when questions, even intricate ones, are asked. Lots of people give in-depth responses and I tip my hat to them for having the knowledge and patience to lay things out so clearly.
