Aww, your daughter is beautiful! What an amzing journey she's had. My friend's son just turned 1 and he is still on oxygen and a feeding tube and he gets re-hospitalized frequently for low sats. But he is starting to pull up and he eats some solids so he is definitely making progress. I have such a soft spot for special needs children, my oldest son has high functioning autism (aspergers) and my younger son was born with a heart defect and had open heart surgery as a newborn. These kids sure teach us more about life than we teach them!
As for incorporating the kids into the ceremony, we're trying to figure out the same thing. I plan on having my older son walk me down the aisle and my younger son & daughter walk hand in hand in front of us. Instead of a ring ceremony (we're already married, so it is a VR) we will exchange something else - all of us. I haven't decided for sure, maybe necklaces or a bracelet or mickey ears...lol. Or maybe even a family sand ceremony?
