My Guess on what type of discount

that Disney will offer this year instead of the usual free dining.

Since so many people are upset about the dining plan changing - my bet is that Disney is going to offer some sort of deal that will draw more people in to us the plan. Maybe something like the Pay for 4 Stay for 7 deal that was a few years ago (I think that was what it was called and I think it was 2005). BUT this time it will be mandatory to book a Magic Your Way package WITH dining.

This would not only indoctrinate new dining plan users but also appease the previous dining plan users a bit. Plus it will get people used to paying for the tip OOP while still letting them get a deal.

Wouldnt surprise me. I have a feeling that free dining wont be the promotion this year either.

I am also a free dining doubter. They have done it, like what, 3 years in a row? I agree with all the above posters. I hope they do something like pay 4 stay 7 (I actually got this before I even went to Disney or new how elusive these postcards were and threw it away! ) When will we know? April or so?

My guess is that you will pay for 4 days of everything...hotel, tickets and dining and then get 3 for free.

Or something similar that will get people to PAY for dining for some of the trip and then get some for free.


Yes - April is usually when we find out for the summer. I cant wait because I cant finalize our plans until I figure out where we will be staying. Plane tickets bought, rental car reserved, but cant finalize ANYTHING yet. It is soooo difficult to make ADR's 6 months out without knowing if we will be on Disney property or not. I really hope they offer something decent.
