his birthday is in Sept. We will be going in June. Will he eat for free at a sit-down restaurant? And if so would that include buffets? I am not sure if it is under three or three and under as the requirement at the restaurants. Also he is very big for his age. He is often mistaken for a four or five year old until he speaks. Then it is obvious he is just 3. Will that be a problem? Thanks for any help.

Edit- Just found out it is under 3 for free, so this doesn't include him. Thanks

Those were the good ole days when DS was under 3. He is 7 now but I used to love those days when my kids were younger.

The buffets and family style meals were the only ones that were "free". The ones where kids had to order meals they had to pay for them. What we did back then when both our kids ate very small amounts of food was do a "child split" They used to bring a split of 1 kids meal (charge us for one) but brought it on two plates. Most of the time there were as many fries etc on each kids plate that it was a lot of food. They would even each get a dessert usually (back when most sit down restaurants had desserts for kids). It depends on who plated them etc.
