I will start with the bad to get it out of the way. I joined Curves (more on that later) today, and they weighed and measured me. My scale at home weighs me 8 pounds less than the Curves scale and since the Curves scale is like a doctor's scale I trust that it is correct. I was heartbroken as I weigh way more than I thought I did
! I took a deep gulp when I saw the number on the scale, and then thought "What can I do about it? Nothing!" So, I wrapped my arms around it and put it into perspective. Yes, I weigh more than I thought I did, but I still have lost 15 pounds! So, I guess I'll just let it go at that and move forward.
The good news, of course, is that I joined Curves! I did my first workout today and it felt so good! I already am a regular exerciser, but mainly have been walking and doing aerobics, with a bit of light free weights thrown in for good measure. I think Curves is just the ticket to balance out my workouts, and to help me work out ALL of my body! It also helps me kickoff Alex's new challenge!
So to sum it up: I have more weight to lose than I thought I did, but I have a new way of exercising to help me lose it!
