is at almost $300 for a days work! So excited! I'm pretty dead now so I think I'll pack up soon!

Don't ya love it when you can find money just laying around your house that way! $300 sounds like a great day's work to me! More money for Disney!:cool1:

Yayy! What a great total. Good for you. Pat yourself on the back and take a nap!

Awesome, glad you had a great day!!

We also had a super day as well

We made about $350 and dh still has some hotwheels to take to the auction. I was suprised. We never do that well. I sold clothes for 1$ a bag. Fill a bag and they could have it. So it wasn't even mostly clothes.

Wow summer, that is great!!:cheer2: Its even better when the kids dont mind parting with their stuff too. I bet emma was a good little helper!! Did you advertise in PS or YT? I saw one I wanted to go to in Mt. Sinai but I had a commitment at church and then dh dragged me lawnmower shopping.

I think you did awesome and what a great day weatherwise,. It was great here, wasnt it??

Ohhhh they totally minded! Emma kept whining about her shoes (that are two sizes too small that I was selling! I had to shoo them off to Chuck E Cheese for the day LOL

No I didn't advertise! Just hung up a bunch of signs!

Great day but where the heck is SPRING?!

:cheer2:to everyone else that had a good sale day!!

I finished up a little after four...brought in 2 boxes of stuff, put a couple in the car to donate to the hospital thrift shop and called it a day! Grand total $317!

That is awesome. What did you do to market the sale? Garage sales in our neighborhood don't do too well--you should write a book (or give me some tips! :)).

I just hung a bunch of signs around my neighborhood this morning and priced everything. Dollar Tree sells the price stickers. If I go to a sale and there are no prices, I leave, and I didn't want that to happen at my sale!

I advertised and hung up signs. I didn't have everything priced. But it didn't detour anyone. That I know of. I had so much stuff. The weather hadn't been cooperative the few days before my sale. So I couldn't really sat it all up to price it all.

Congrats on making some extra cash! :cool1: We just had a garage sale last weekend. But I just had to share on what our biggest seller was. My DD6's bake sale! The day before we baked up a bunch of goodies, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, rice crispies, and we also had store bought items (granola bars, soda, candy). She pulled in just under $100! I was so proud of her. She sat there all day and sold sold sold. Now she has her spending money for our trip :) Which she plans to spend buying funnel cakes :rotfl:

That is AWESOME!!!! Way to go!

Last year we did a lemonade stand at our garage sale. I got in on the charity Alex's lemonade stand...so we were donating all of our proceeds to our local chapter of the Autism Society of America. Our stand was great, decorated it with autism ribbons, wrote what the proceeds were going to be used for, DS was SUPER excited since we belong to the organization that provides him with such fun things to do!...and no one bought the .25 lemonade :( He would finally get up the courage to ask people and they were say no. It was such a dissapointment. My friend ended up coming and gave him like $5 for one glass.

That is just sad. I make it a point to buy from kids.

I love buying lemonade from kids! The looks on their faces most of the time is priceless..I love seeing them get excited over .25

My son was suppose to have a lemonade stand today but its raining :-(

That's great!
Last year we had a bunch of clothes and we let people fill bags for 4.00. Some money from every bag went to the Autism walk in Philly.

We are doing one this coming weekend. They are doing a town wide sale. I will use the money for our Disney trip.

I love the idea of letting people fill bags of clothes for a price...easy!! Do you just use plastic store bags for that?
