My future SIL needs some help...

Hi Ladies,
I thought I would come to the experts. My brother and his girlfriend have decided to get married in August kind of late in the game. They finally have the venue and the invitations out, but they need some help in making sure they have all the based covered. Is there a checklist of some sort or maybe a wedding for dummies site I could use to help her get all her stuff done? She is a doctor and really doesn't have time for it. I was in the same situation before I got married and to be honest it went terrible. I don't want them to feel the same way.

Most bridal magazines have checklists in them - just beware that she may have a heart attack when she sees all the stuff the magazines say she should have done already.

I also highly recommend the book Bridal Bargains by Denise & Alan Fields - it covers all the major categories and will help them not get scammed. There is a companion bridal organizer that contains more checklists that your brother and future sister-in-law may find helpful. Both books can be found in the Amazon Marketplace for cheap!

While planning my wedding, I have found http://www.wedplan.com/worksheets.php to be so helpful. There is a checklist that will give you an idea of a timeline to do things. And of course you are short on time, so you can adjust it to what you can do.

I found it while looking for something to estimate our budget, but have used every aspect of the printouts now

I printed them all off and put them into plastic sleeves and into a binder. I have kept all my reciepts & contracts in the sleeves as well.
