My friends the summer offer will be

Yes!!! Please think good thoughts for all us "late summer" folks!!! Ugh ... The agony of waiting ... I just need to know dates ... Will there be a good discount and will it start 8/15 or 8/24 ... If the stars align we'd all get free dining starting 8/18 like the BB - I'm pretty sure I would pee my pants of joy!!! Lol But, ok ok, I will "live" with FD on the 8/24 too!! Lol Please please keep us posted!!!! I'm dying here in the winter of NY that is never ending.....

It won't be long now. 24th is looking strong but ill toss some pixie dust your way. Oh by the way, Danny predicted the 26th and I am saying the 24th.

We have tentatively planned to arrive the 23rd to the 1st. So, the 24th would be just fine :) I REALLY want to go the week prior, but I know I have slim chances of FD for anything earlier than the 24th :( But, I haven't booked airfare just in case!! LOL (And the fact that it is OUTRAGEOUS right now!! What is the deal!!??)

Thanks for the pixie dust ..... fingers crossed for some sort of news REALLY soon!! :):badpc:

wanted to share our savings:

staying for 10 nights july/august

5 WL courtyard view with bunk bed
5 GF club level - sugarloaf bldg.

saved $1700 !!!

thank you all!!!

We're going June 12-18. I called today to "extend" my 30% off of my room when I saw the new discount of June 13 through Aug. 14(?). I was told it wasn't an extension; that to get it, I would have to cancel my first one (for June 12-13) and make two separate reservations. I was also told I would only get a room reservation for June 12, no park tickets. My package wouldn't start until June 13. Don't think this is fair, but this is the way it is.

You could shorten the days of your existing package, but keep the full days on your ticket. Then use the current summer codes for dates from the 14th onward.

You can go ahead and get your park tickets when you check in for the room only reservation on June 12. Make the package tickets for as many days as you like, so 7 if that was the original plan (June 12-18 = 7 possible park days).

Here is the information you will need according to the Everything You Need to Know about Tickets sticky at the top of Theme Park Attractions Forum.

I. Picking up Package Tickets Prior To Start Of Package

In cases where Walt Disney World Resort Guests would like to begin using their Package Tickets prior to the day of check-in (up to three days in advance), the Guests will be directed to visit any Theme Park or DTD Guest Relations location and request Early Ticket Pick-Up. (Note this cannot be done at a water park.)

It is only valid for people with packages at a Walt Disney World owned and operated Resort. You can be staying off-property at the time you pick up the tickets. Note that if you have a package which includes Dining, although you can pick up your tickets early you cannot get access to the Dining until you have actually checked in to your Resort.

Note that since August 2011 the Call Centers have been telling Guests this cannot be done. However it is still a valid procedure and can be done with no problem at Park Guest Relations Windows.

There is a possibility that if your package and the stay prior to the package are at the same Resort that you will be able to get the tickets at the Resort and not have to go to a Park Guest Relations Office.

And the tickets issued will be valid for the entire stay; they will not receive valid tickets when they actually check-in to their resort. There is a strong possibility that the tickets you have received prior to check-in cannot be added to your KTTW on or after check-in.

I would suggest you copy down the following information if you are planning to upgrade promotional tickets. If the person in the window is hesitant to upgrade these promotional tickets, ask them go go into The Hub >> WDW >> Work >> Ticketing >> Processes & Business Rules >> Early Ticket Pickup For Resort Packages where they will see the procedure.

Not sure if you were including dining plan, but if you were, I don't think that would kick in until the actual day of package so June 13. You would need to pay for your meals out of pocket on June 12. Hopefully someone else can confirm that if you are indeed on the dining plan.

Or as a previous poster said, and if you were not looking to have the dining plan, make the package for the first night & then room only reservation for the rest of the stay. Since you already made the change, you may not want to go through that again. And there is also the possibility of it being a hassle since the spring discount is expired and you are looking to change your reservation. However, if that is what you prefer to do and do run into a problem, ask to speak to a supervisor as you did have the discount booked prior to expiration and they should be able to get it back for you.

:welcome:

Here are the Historic Patterns for fall free dining offers. I'm looking for the trend going back to late April, leaning toward April 25.

2006 - Booking started April 1
2007 - Booking started April 9
2008 - Booking started April 7
2009 - Booking started March 30
2010 - Booking Started April 29
2011 - Booking Started April 28
2012 - Booking Started March 1

Gee, wonder where that date came from? ;-)[/QUO

:rotfl2: Yes, yes it was you !!!:cheer2::cheer2:

Where did you get that date from black? Is there info in your blog. I have to go look now.

No info yet. But soon.

End of April is looking good and they love to release to visa holders on a Thursday. Call it an educated research based prediction for now.

Is everyone's best guess that FD will be QS for mods, or does it look like the mods will have the regular dining plan? We made two ADRs for places that we really wanted to eat at, but if it looks like we might have the regular plan I guess we need to do some more planning :scratchin before the offer comes out so we stand a chance at getting what we want.

Just waiting here with everyone else for an end of Aug deal. We too are tired of this winter in western NY. We're scheduled to go Aug 24th. Here's hoping that we all get the deal we're looking for. It always makes vacation more fun when you feel like you got a good deal. :)

I would love to know if it will be QS or regular dining, if its offered. So hopefully we will find out soon. The wait seems like forever when your trying to plan and get everything in order.:goodvibes

Agreed!! I think *if* it comes out April 25th...... we should know from one of the insiders in a day or two.....I am super thankful for inside info:goodvibes
At this point I do not care what the discount is I just want to know.

I think there is a chance that it will only be QS for values and mods. It's just my guess, but that is what my pin code was for last June. Maybe they were trying it out to see if people still booked.

Just took advantage fo the Summer offer :cool1: . We booked deluxe because of the 30 % discount and a value because of 15% room only offer
Doing a split stay for 11 days. ASMU familt suite for 6, and Beach Club Deluxe room Club level for 5.

If it wasnt for the offer, we would have been off site. So with the offer we are saving enough to stay on-site . Was able to cancel the rental car (ME), no parking fees, tolls/fuel now, ........so its a win-win for us. :yay::goodvibes:thumbsup2.

Already had a bunch of good dining reservations, since we knew we were going already. :woohoo:

Just have to find some good airfare now :rolleyes1

Bummer that it sounds like the Nemo themed suites at AoA are blocked out of the deal!!! Now I'm considering switching resorts as I could stay @ one of the deluxes for less than what I'd pay for Nemo @ AoA. Anyone have any suggestions? My kids are 9(S) & 11(D). We'll be there 7/30-8/8 w/ PH & WP tix. Thx for any help.

We really liked WL and BC was okay too. We are also a family of 4. Kids 8 and 11. Our kids like bunk beds (WL) which is another reason we are choosing AKL this time to try something new. WL and AKL are only resorts with bunks I think. BC has a great pool. The rooms are a good size for 4.

You all ROCK in getting us the info before it hits the general public!

Our older kids are college+ and our younger ones are 9 and 8. We love Poly and Contempory for the access to Magic Kingdom. Beach Club has an excellent pool and ice cream place if you like the Epcot area. For a moderate, we like Port Orleans/Riverside for the family and Port Orleans/French Quarter for an adults only stay (the pool at FQ is NOT kid enticing). I admit I am an older parent so we only look at mod/deluxe these days so I can have the extra room and more theming at the resort. We look for a place that we can "hang out" and enjoy when we are not at the parks. Hope your Disney stay is magical!
