Just to update you all - might have been off to a rushed start but he has enjoyed the rest of the trip. With the swim team he was part of winning the most points for a visiting club so were the 'Best Club' and DS made a final in all of the events he competed in sometimes he was the only swimmer from the UK in his final, and although he did some great times in the heats, he found the finals quite hard - that was until today when he swam an OK time in the heats, but a fantastic time in the final to take a bronze medal and for the first time swimming 100m backstroke in 59.43 secs. He was also quite dissappointed to narrowly miss breaking a county record that has stood for 14 years by 7 100th of a sec - the record stands at 27.90 and DS swam 27.97 secs. so will hopefully break that record soon - he already holds the under 16 record and would like to break the mens record. Can't wait for him to come home tomorrow to find out all the details....
