My Forearm Crutches Hurt - Help!

I just got forearm crutches on Friday due to fibromayglia and chronic fatigue syndrome. My right leg collapses with no warning, so the crutches help me not to fall down. However, the handles (plastic) are hurting my hands very badly and leaving marks on them. Is there anything we can get to put on the handles so that it does not hurt me as bad?
