Hi,

today my family called me and confirmed that they would be joining us in Disney in May and I have just jumped onto the computer to book their and our flights (as was waiting on their final decision) to find that they have gone from £309 to £386

We are flying out virgin on 28th April and returning on 12th May from London Gatwick.

I've been watching them since the start of Jan and they were def £309 yesterday. I could honestly cry! What do I do? Should I wait to see if they go back down or book now and accept that I missed the boat?

BA's prices also appear to have increased not suprisingly!

A very frustrated Christie

I am guessing the VA sale ended yesterday hence the price increase. As it is April you want to travel there may be another sale but they may not have the dates you want then.

Claire ;)

Almost always a bad decision waiting to book flights, if you see a price you like you should grab them. You should have booked yours and then theirs if they wanted adding but thats easy after the event.

I have been watching for May half term, not sure if we were going to go or just wait for our August trip. Yesterday the flights I have been watching went up from £320 to £454, if they don't drop below £300 we will wait.

Does anyone know if I can use my flying club miles for my family as miles + money fares? I have enough and it'll bring the price down a little bit!

Yes you can, you can use them for anyone, I used 2,000 of mine for a Miles and Money fare for Sons school friend that came with us last Easter.

same nearly happened to us
but I booked ours anyway and when I went in to look the very next day they were over a €100 more

Thanks I'll probably do that then - really should have booked our seats as with M+M ours were £289!

Gulp - oh well live and learn!

that happened to me with BA at the weekend but luckily i managed to find the flights a lot cheaper on expedia, have you tried there?

We booked ours on Monday and today they are £176 dearer.

I agree with Wayne - if you see the flight at a good price book it. I was tracking our flights last year so had an idea of what the bottom and top prices were and when I saw them at the price I thought was good I booked them.

I think the BA sale ended on 27th.....I find if you check sometimes first thing in the morning the price of the odd seat or 2 have come done slightly and once they fill up the price goes back up again...
