Has this happened to anyone?

When we booked this trip in Oct, we looked for the latest flight out so that we would have more time in the parks. We found one leaving at 6:25pm on 05/09, which wasn't as late as we were hoping but it was our only option. We recieved a letter (disney letterhead) a few months later saying that our flight had been changed to leave at 5:25pm instead. That is an hour earlier and I was not happy! I didn't know what to do about it though. When I called to apply a code to my reservation, he was reviewing my information back to me and I noticed that he said that my return flight was leaving at 6:25pm. What?? I told the CM that I had received the letter and he said that it would probably show up on his system if it had changed. What do I do?

You booked the entire trip thru Disney?

I would get the airline and flight number and call the airline to confirm the time.

We flew American Airlines, we got one of those letters every week before our trip, I would say about 6 months out and onward! It stunk, I booked the flight and trip in March for Dec. The 10:30 flight moved to 8:00am on our departure day. It was hard to leave POFQ that early, I wanted to stay forever. They kept changing untill about 6 weeks before travel. I figure it is just one of those things when you book early.

It is really disappointing when that happens. I was a travel agent for 10 years (before retiring when DS2 was born!) and I know that airlines change their schedules all the time. Everytime there is even a slight change, they will usually send out a letter showing the new flight info.

I would call the airline directly and reconfirm your flight times/numbers. You don't need a confo number...with just your last name and flight number they should be able to find the reservation. When in doubt, always call the airline....they actually may be able to find another flight that would work out better for you. They can be flexible when the schedule change doesn't work in your favor.

Good luck!

Our Delta Song experience changed six times in 6 months. I called the airline directly each and every time. If I didn't check it myself online I would never have known. Never got a letter or email notification. I would call the airline directly and make sure you have a seat assignment for each leg of your trip each and every time it changes. Our frequent changes wiped out our return seat assignment each time.

We flew Airtrain last year and had this happen to us. Our 8 a.m. flight (in Dayton which is an hour away from us) turned into a 7 a.m flight which meant we had to leave our house at 4 a.m., with two kids this was NO fun. I couldn't believe it.
