My flight is 8:20 am to go home, ME questions...

We have never checked out with an 8:20 am flight (no choice, airline cancelled our original flight last week). How many hours in advance do we have to check our bag to use ME on the way home? Can we do it that early in the day? If we can't, can we still get boarding passes 24 hours in advance and would we have time to check our bag at the airport?

The resort checkin opens at 5:00 and you have to check in at least 3 hours before. Depending on your pickup time, you may have to take your luggage to the airport. No problem with getting boarding passes at guest services.

You don't have to check your bags to use DME on the way back to the airport. You can, but it is not required. If you decide to check them, you do it through Resort Airline Check-in, known as RAC. It is separate from DME. You can use either or both.

1) Each resort has DME pickups twice per hour.
. . . each pickup is scheduled at 1/2-hr intervals
. . . the pickup times for the resort are ALWAYS the same time, every day
. . . examples: 6:10am & 6:40am (10-min after the hour and after the half hour)
. . . however, if no one is scheduled, the bus will not stop at the resort
2) You are scheduled for DME approx 3-hrs prior to your departure time.
. . . if you fly at 9:30am, you would use the above 6:10am DME pickup
. . . your pickup is always supposed to be between 3 and 3½ hrs

If you get a pick up time that is at 5:30 or later, you can check your bags at the resort. The RAC counter opens at 5am....you have to be done checking your bags in, and walking away, at least 3 hrs prior to your flight departure time. And you should be out at the DME bus stop at least 10 mins before your pick up time. So...if your pick p time is at 5:15, it won't work. You need at least 20 mins.....and that's with no one else in the line!

If you can't use RAC for your bags, they will just be stowed beneath the DME bus you are riding on. You would check them as usual at the airport. You can still check in before you get there.....it's basically the same as when you fly out of your home resort.
