Did anyone start a thread on this show yet? After watching two episodes I have a few opinions. The wives seem to crave time with their husband more than the Sister Wives did, but this husband seems hotter anyway, so I can see why :rotfl:. Some of the wives seem close, some not. The first wife doesn't seem like a happy person, I can see she'd like to have him all to herself. I think that if some of the wives have more than 4 kids, they should all be allowed to have the same amount, if they want to. So far I like this group better than Cody and his crew. I personally would not like being able to sleep with my husband only every 5 nights. I wonder if those women keep him busy every night or if he gets to have headaches :headache:?

For some reason I was expecting these wives to like each other more than the ones on Sister Wives. They seem to have the same issues, and really don't like each other that much.

These two shows are supposed to be showing why they want to live this lifestyle. To me it just shows that it stinks for the women all the way around.

These women act as if they are neighbors that share a man, more than sister wives. The one wife asking the husband to ask the wives about Thanksgiving... Aren't they sister wives for 15+ years??? I would think they would be close enough to be texting when ever or even a phone call. Then the one who is saying she has fertility problems, when she has a 2 year old plus three other children??? It sounds like she wants more kids but the husband seems to not like it when his wives are pregnant, so she decides that adoption will be the solution to her problem even though he barely spends time with his current kids as it is... :confused3

So I haven't gotten to watch the show but wanted to know....

I thought I heard the Dad referring to the other wives as 'Aunt' to the children. Am I right or imagining it?

I think the whole concept is nuts. Get some self respect and marry someone who is happy to be with just you. I can't even stand to watch Sister Wives when my sister turns it on. What makes these women feel like they are not special enough to have their own husband? Just venting.

I don't know, sometimes I think it would be nice to have some extra wives around. Ya know, for chores and stuff ;)

It seems as though these wives (I sure wouldn't call them "sister" wives) really guard their own turf (don't even like having to share a laundry room), and the husband seems to like that they're jealous of each other. I give him credit though because it seems as though he spends more time with the kids than Cody does. At least they eat as a group five nights a week. Their financial situation seems more realistic, too, with the houses being large, but definitely not fancy.

I thought it was interesting to see how differently they all reacted to the birth control question, you could really tell which women were raised in the fundamentalist faith, vs who was more progressive.

Anyone still watching? I just think this is a sad group of women. None of them seem happy to be sharing their husband. It seems that they were forced to become polygamists and they tried to make the best of it by picking a decent "husband." I thought it was sad on the last episode with all the questions where the kids were trying to express that they did not get enough dad time, without throwing him under the bus.

People can certainly live their however they want but IMHO women who share a husband with other women are sad and pathetic.

This. They are constantly fighting for his attention (both wives and kids). The wives upset about rings and trips hearing them whine about it is annoying.

I thought it was interessting that none of the children wanted to be in a plural marriage.

I'm not sure why, but I find this crew more annoying than "Sister Wives". There seems to be more going on below the surface here. I was thoroughly disgusted when the one was going for her mammogram, then biopsy, and the husband had to go be with another wife on "her night". That's the sort of thing you sign up for I suppose, but I find it incredibly sad.

And the one whining around about how she got her ring, but it was an afterthought? Yuck.

And the adoption? Double yuck. I had questions too about why she was considering adoption. All I caught was that he didn't like it when she was pregnant. WTH?

I can't say I'm surprised none of the kids wanted plural marriages.

Too me the sister wives seemed more like a family even though there was jealousy. Maybe its because they all lived together at one point? This just seems like a man and his five girl friends with kids who just happen to eat dinner together.

I don't know any polite way to word it, but with Sister Wives it feels more religious and less sexual. This show seems like each wife is desperate for her night with him, and he seems very openly affectionate with all, even in front of others, despite it making the others uncomfortable. He just gives off kind of a skeevy vibe to me....

I can see that.

It feels a little skeevy to me too. Hearing Noni comment (and sort of grin to herself) that she doesn't want to tell the other wives they are trying to get pregnant because then they will know they are trying........... well DUH. It seems sort of school girlish to me.

If one of the wives wanted to get pregnant and was testing to check for ovulation and the best time to conceive, what would she do if it "just wasn't her night?"

Wait 10 years until her next anniversary getaway? ;)

The whole idea is just stupid.

I'm sorry but I'm not sharing, if I wanted to share I wouldn't have married one man.

Wouldn't it be smarter to have 5 husbands and one wife. Think of all the income and sxxx. :)

I cannot sit through a full episode of Sister Wives and I am sure I can't watch this show.

BLECH!
