Hello,
My first time going to DL, Feb 10 -Feb 15th iam also going solo.
5 day park hopper pass starting at DL 4 out of 5 days maybe all 5.
Staying at either Camelot or kings inn
Obviously I have some questions
Solo, do I need a paper pass? Or do I just walk up to the single rider lane?
Feb. 14th do you think thier will be a special event where the park closes early and only accommodates extra ticket holders? If so how much do you think the extra ticket is and what time do you think the park closes for the event? During the special events the park still runs the rides? I mean I know some shut down for fireworks etc.
The Little Mermaid ride I see in some maps it 8s located in fantasyland as well as DCA. Which it is a Must for me.
I don't want to be held down by my phone but I do realize that alot of foods are mobile only. Nor do I care to wait in huge food lines what are the best times for eating? I don't care if it is off normal eating times as I'm from Canada and our time zones are different anyways so probably works out anyways.
I'm sure I have more to ask but that's it for now.
Cheers

Single rider is easy. You just walk into the single rider line and you don't need anything.

Little mermaid is in California adventure park.

There was an after hours valentine's event in 2020. I attended and do not recommend buying a ticket for it. The party was in Disneyland and I think the park closed at 6pm for the event.

Food will hopefully change before you attend. Currently there are plenty of places to eat without mobile ordering. If you go at off times 2pm-4pm and after 7pm you won't have a line.

I don't have an answer for your other questions but chiming in to say that I've enjoyed the Kings Inn the 3 times I've stayed there. I haven't stayed at the Camelot so don't have any comparison, but the Kings Inn is a great deal since they discount the rate pretty heavily if you choose the non-refundable rate. They include a small breakfast in the morning--it's very, very basic stuff but I always liked getting the oatmeal and eating it on my walk to the parks. It is a 10 minute walk to the park which can get tiring at the end of a long day so we did choose to Uber/Lyft sometimes. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable.

Be careful as you may be looking at maps of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida instead of Disneyland Park. Under the Sea: The Journey of the Little Mermaid is located in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom but is in Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland Resort. The layouts of MK and DL are similar but not the same so an MK map will not be too helpful.

Sounds like you will have a great time. My first trip was solo back in the 90’s and I had a great time.
One thing I would suggest is do start at DCA at least once, if not twice so you have a good chance of rope dropping Radiator Springs Racers. It’s incredibly popular and lines regularly get to 2 hours. If not rope dropping then getting on it just before park close is another way to minimise your wait time (apart from paying to access the Lightning Lane of course). Guardians of the Galaxy is another ride worth rope dropping at DCA. With 5 days though, you should have plenty of time to do what you want, go with the flow and soak up the atmosphere in a relaxed way. Best way to do it 👍.
Info from last years after hours sweetheart event.
https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...after-dark-sweethearts-nite-on-feb-12-and-13/Yes rides will still operate during the event, that’s the point for most. Likely cost is around $150 or so, maybe more. They allowed party guests in at 6pm but the event didn’t start until 9pm so regular ticket guests didn’t have to leave until closer to then, maybe even 9pm, which would be regular park close at that time of year.
That’s all I had to add as your other questions have been answered above. Feel free to keep asking away, wish I had these boards when I first visited 😁.

I go solo all the time. I love it. We stayed at Kings Inn about 6 years ago and it was just fine.

If you're from Canada it'll likely be shorts weather in February. I grew up in Minnesota so it takes a lot to make me wear long pants or sleeves if it's above 65 or so. Nights will likely cool down so you might want pants and/or a hoodie though.

When DD and I went in Sept we didn't mobile order at all and were just fine.

I'd definitely start my day at DCA at least twice on a 5 day PH so you can do RSR or Web Slingers easily. RSR has a single rider line but it still can get long later in the day.

Thanks everyone,
What's the weather like mid February? Shorts weather?
February in Anaheim will see lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s. At the extremes, the lows could dip into the 40s, and the highs could go into the 90s. It’ll be mostly sunny, although not uncommon to see partly cloudy or overcast days. Rain is a possibility, although not as much as in January.

Whether or not this is “shorts weather” is relative. If you are coming from a place covered in ice and snow, then yes it’ll seem downright balmy. Come from the desert and you’ll want to bring your winter coat.

As is pretty common for Southern California you’ll see people in shorts and T-shirts, and others in long pants and puffy coats all in the same day.

Either way, the temperature will fluctuate through the day. Morning and evening will be much cooler than the high, which will peak in the mid afternoon.

Oh thank you very much iam coming from alberta Canada and we have snow and ice already.

For food, there is WiFi in the parks and mobile ordering is really easy. If you want to use the fast pass replacement system, you will also need your phone for that.
Last time I went my park ticket was also on my phone, they might have given me a paper copy as well, but I’m not sure.

Oh thank you,
I don't really know about fass passes or anything like that.
I'm going with an open mind, and expect to wait in lines to get on anything past the first 2 hours of arrival.
Super excited.
