My first trip report, May 2008 with pics! Updated 7-21,Typhoon Lagoon and P & P party

Hi:goodvibes

I saw your link so I came over to join in the fun and read your PTR!

It looks great, can't wait to start:goodvibes

I will find something so I will also easier to spot, I'm going to think about it. :)

earthfaries, great to see you here, thanks! :goodvibes

We are counting the weeks right now, I just want to go on holiday! ;) Well, first we have some birthdays coming up, my son has his birthday March 9th, and I March 24th. Since we have a lot of birthdays this month in our family, we always celebrate our birthday together.
Michael is a huge lego fan, so you can imagine what he will get. ;)

Just stopped in to say hello! I will catch up later today...can't wait to read this.:goodvibes

I also have a busy March... where I work, we have to plan events, forums, workshops etc... before the end of our year... which is March... so we call it March Madness... we had a comedy magic show last night (great) and next week we have an all day Health Forum, and March 23 a social Easter Brunch and I have to go to Quebec City for a meeting on March 26-27... I have to plan all these events (comunity coordonator assistant)... I love my job.. ha! So at least, March will fly by and then I will only have 1 more month to go :rotfl:

welcome Marshay, and thanks for joining my pre-trip report. :goodvibes

Wow, I hope everything is going well for you this month! But you are right, it is flying by then. I will show the birthday wish to Michael soon, he is playing outside right now, thanks! :thumbsup2

Your pictures are great! How wonderful you got to go to DL Paris!

Your son is so cute, I love his hair.

Your plans sound great, so did your trip in 2005.

There is one thing though...you have to stop at America's most wonderful beach when you're in the Keys...Bahia Honda. It is 50 miles from Key West in Marathon, right before the 7 mile bridge. It is just like the beaches in the bahamas...it's so wonderful!!!

Bahia Honda sounds great! We only have one day planned yet at Key West, to go with Conch Tour Train, so maybe we will visit Bahia Honda the other day. Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

We spent 3 weeks in the Keys in 2003 and it was so wonderful. We stayed a couple of nights in Marathon, the rest on the Navy base in Key West.

The best thing about the Keys is Bahia Honda:laughing: It is famous, one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in America. I can't even begin to describe it...I wish I could post a few pics but I don't know if my scanner is working or how to do that. I've been on many cruises too, and this beach comes close to the beaches in the carribbean. You could stop on the way down to Key West if you wanted, or just drive up there one day, but do try and stop, it is incredible!!!

Ok, caught up! Love the pictures of DL Paris. I've never been there so I love to see how the parks are different!

Your son is a cutie!!

Looks like our itineraries overlap the following days -- so look out! :lmao:

May 5th - Epcot
May 7th - Magic Kingdom
May 9th - Pirate and Princess Party

See ya real soon!

I will find something so I will also easier to spot, I'm going to think about it. :)

You know about the huge Lego store at Downtown Disney right? And the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy at DHS? I bet your son will love those!!!

Yes, he is already saving his money to go to the Lego Store overthere ( for us Lego is cheaper in the USA then overhere) , and he also wants a Star Wars light sabre.

ChevyNat, he loved his first birthdaywish, he says thanks! :thumbsup2

Hi!
Just joining your PTR. I saw "you" and your link on Becca's PTR and noticed your travel dates! We'll be traveling almost at the same time and you'll be in the World when I'll be there with my mom!
We'll be at POFQ from April 29th to May 14th! :yay:
And guess what? We'll be at the P&PP on... May 9th!!! :dance3:
If the costume I ordered arrives OK and fits right, I'll be dressed as Belle (the gold dress) and Mama as... nothing (well maybe, if I'm able to do it, a P&PP tank top).
It's a sad thing your men don't like to dressup, since I really, really saw your picture hog son (well, he IS in almost all the pix, isn't he?! :lmao:) as Peter Pan.
Did you see the latest non-animated version of that movie (2003)? I saw it for a 2nd time recently and, OMG, just look at the hair! My memory may be twisted, but in my head, it's just like your son's! He's very cute, by the way!

I still have to compare our itineraries more carefully to find out, but maybe we'll bump into each other more than that!
One thing's for sure : I should be sporting a lime green croc named Faolan... :thumbsup2
and sitting in a blue tartant wheelchair, with a lime green string Baggalini in the back. :headache:

Oh, and 2 :offtopic: comments/questions:
1) You say writing in english is a first : what language are you normally writing/speaking? I'm always curious what countries are associated with what languages... and I must admit, I can't come up with an answer when I think "Netherlands/Pays-Bas". (and obviously, I'm curious if the answer is : french... like me! "Sandra", "Marco"... these could be french names... and no speeling mistakes in any Paris' landmark names either...;) But maybe that's just because you're European!)

2) I must admire your choice of a name when it comes to Michael... Not only is that a lesson in married compromise (he got his sports name, you the actor's name), but after all, Roy Dupuis is a very good actor. Now, of course I'm biased you'll say, and it's true. But he's really talented and also a very deeply intelligent man. (most funny thing is, his first important role was of a stupid, unreliable, alcoholic but passionate man in the early 1900s... and because of that role he was often ridiculed over here. Many Quebecers don't even know he played an important role in a popular english series! But now he has played in good movies and he's an activist for the environment so he has gained much respect).
End of
:offtopic:

So I hope we'll see each other and that you and your family have a wonderful trip! :flower3:

I like it more to place pictures of my son, then from me.. :lmao:
I haven't seen that movie, does he really looks like him? I really need to see that movie now. ;)

I'm curious about your ptr and costumes, going to visit your report soon!

I forgot that a lot of people don't even know the Netherlands, or Holland as they sometimes say. We speak Dutch, I don't know if you can compare it with another language. I guess maybe South African, and maybe a little with German.
It is a small country in Europe, Marjol has a nice picture of Europe where you can see it, I will see if I can copy it here. Right from us is Germany, underneath Belgium, and underneath that is France. For us it is around a five hour drive to Disneyland Paris I think. ( Belgium is also not so big)

I can learn you all some Dutch words if you want?? :rotfl:

Sometimes I see something at the internet about Roy Dupuis, but unfortunately the movies and series he played in are not aired overhere.
Too bad, I really like him.

Well let see, if I can find that Europe picture. :)

Hello again, it's been so long since I went on the board, very busy with work... Hope your plans are coming along great... hope to see you at the PPP...

Hey, you stole my picture... :rotfl:

Only six more weeks... can you believe it's really almost time to fly? :thumbsup2

Now, come on!
I'm not THAT bad!
I didn't know about the language (or should I say, I didn't remember, because when I read your answer, I slaped my forehead :headache: and realized I had learned it... and forgot about it... so many things I can't remember anymore). But even though I couldn't name you the countries right and left of the Netherlands (heck, I have trouble naming the canadian provinces in order...), I could've pointed it on a map.

Geography was one of my favorite subjects in high school and at one point, I knew almost all capitals of the world... (at one point, I said!).

Hey... do you have get a dutch version of Spirou??? I know it's belgian... (from Marcinelle, if I recall right). We don't get the weekly journal (would cost a LOT) but we get the albums every 2-3 months. Me and Mama loooove those things! :lovestruc

...I still didn't compare our itineraries... :guilty: if you read my PTR, you know I did a lot of other planning things (when am I not?!) so I lost sight of that... I should do it before we leave! :thumbsup2

Waah, only six more weeks, and I have the feeling I have to do so much!

Hello again, it's been so long since I went on the board, very busy with work... Hope your plans are coming along great... hope to see you at the PPP...
Here it is busy too, also a reason why it had been a while before I wrote something. ;) Hopefully I have some more time tomorrow to catch up with everyones PTR's and write something more here! I hope I will see you at the PPP too, would be great. :)

Hey, you stole my picture...

Only six more weeks... can you believe it's really almost time to fly?
hihi, I thought it was better to "steal" a good picture then insert a bad one. :rotfl: Yes, only six more weeks, time is going fast now. I'm very curious about our "forum" plane. ( Marjol and I are also on a Dutch messageboard, and we found out there are more people at that board who are flying the same day and with the same plane as us, so now we call that plane our forum, or "board" plane. ;) ).

Now, come on!

I did a touristic course, so I've also learned a lot about foreign countries.... but also forgot a lot. So I don't blame you. ;)
I don't know what Spirou is, I will see if can find something on the internet so I can answer your question.

Well, my son has his own passport now, so he can come with us. ;)
That is one more thing we did, I guess it is time to look more into our itineraries for the upcoming weeks.
