This is my first TR, soooooooo... here we go!! :cool1:

We pulled across the Florida border in the early afternoon on Saturday, July 17th, and had to stop at the visitor's center to get the free orange juice :goodvibes While there, I couldn't resist snapping this pic

http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87026515022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

After a quick stop inside the visitor's center, we were back on our way...

And in a couple of hours, we were close enough to get this pic

A couple of minutes later, we were pulling up to the Fort!! Here's a pic of the legendary sign

http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87026517022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

It's a little blurry, but oh well..

We continued to check-in, quickly and easily, and were able to pull up to site 1713 by 5:45. We quickly set up, and made sure our mickey lamp and signs were visible from the road

Since we arrived so late, we mainly relaxed that night. Trail's End for dinner  Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics.. :sad2: But I got them for the rest of our meals :)

And that's the end of day 1!

Day 2 coming up later tonight! :cool1:

Usually we do MK as our first park, but we had made ressies at Les Chefs de France for the first time, and so we made this day our Epcot day. Our first order of business was to hurry over to Soarin' to get fastpasses, as they disappear halfway through the morning. We then went to Test Track, and got in the single riders line. It really is worth it if your party's fine being split apart; the wait was significantly shorter than the regular line, and even the fastpass line. Anyways, my dad and sister then went to Mission: Space (my mom and I had no interest in getting sick.. haha ) So, we went to Mouse Gears (a favorite of ours) and then got breakfast at a cart between Ellen's and Mission: Space.. and were shortly greeted by my dad and sister, who wanted breakfast after their space flight :) My sister even got to be the commander on her first try :cool1: After they got their breakfast, we began our trek to WS to eventually get to France for lunch. We strolled around for a little while, but still arrived at France too early for our ressie. The CM up front was kind enough to get us seated, anyway, which we hadn't expected, being that the restaurant always seems crowded. Here are the pics of our lunch:

My mom and sister both got the mac and cheese:

I got the chicken:
http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87041959022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

And my dad got the croque monsieur:
http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87041960022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

I can't speak for the rest of my family, but I thought that the food was very good, and I hope that we can eat there again on our next trip (whenever that may be.. ;) )

We continued our day at Epcot, and then went back to the Fort to relax. Later that night, we decided to watch the Water Parade and the fireworks from the FW beach. Unfortunately, none of the pics really turned out.. This is the best one I have:

And that was Day 2!! Hopefully I can get Days 3 and 4 up tomorrow :cool1:

Yay! Another TR!!!

And a promise of food porn to boot. popcorn::

Haha.. Hopefully my TR doesn't bore everybody to death.. lol This was kind of our relaxing trip, so we didn't kill ourselves to get to each ride and attraction.. we just enjoyed our trip and had a relaxing time. :goodvibes

Yay! Another trip report! :cheer2:

The food looked beautiful - I'm glad to hear it tasted good too!
I also like how your pics are in links too instead of right in the message - mainly because here at work I can't see the ones on the posts, but got to see yours! Oops... don't tell my boss... :confused3

We were at the Fort the same time you were and visited a friend in the 1700 loop - I can't believe we didn't see your ears! And I had my radar on too! Or, should I say, my "ear-dar" :rotfl:

You are doing great so far.

I wish your photos would show up, though. I don't like having to click on the links.

I look forward to more.

Yeah, there's something about French food.. It always looks so pretty! :wizard: And it tasted very good, too! popcorn:: I'm glad you're enjoying my pics.. I'm no pro photographer, so most of the pics don't come out.. But sometimes I get lucky :thumbsup2

Yeah, I'm not sure why they won't show up.. I tried again last night, but couldn't get them to work... At least the links work or you would all be listening to me blab (well, watching me.. ) And I don't think that would be very enjoyable.. lol

On Day 3, we decided that it was past time to do MK, since we usually do it on the first day.. So, we headed to the marina, and were quickly on our way. This trip, we decided that we would take it slow, and not run around trying to get on every ride.. We went on the ones with short waits, and the ones that we just couldn't miss. Here's a shot of the castle that I caught while we were leaving

http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87113192022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

After spending most of the day at MK, we headed back to the camper for a quick break. Since there were EMH at AK, we decided to make use of them. We figured we could get there quicker if we drove, so we hopped in the car and headed for AK. Here's a pic of EE I snapped while we were parking:

http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87113193022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

And here's a pic I took of the Tree of Life:

http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87113194022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

After seeing the Tree of Life, we headed directly to Africa so we could get on Kilamanjaro.. When we got there, they said it closed for early sunset. Ok, we can go to Rafiki's or Maharajah.. We got there, and they said they had closed, too.. due to early sunset... So, we came to AK, to not see any animals. Awesome. So, we moved on.. My dad and sister went to Everest, and my mom and I did some shopping... Then, we met up at Dinoland, Dad and sister went on Primeval Whirl, and Mom and I went on Triceratop Spin.. And that was it. AK EMH were a major let down. I don't recommend the evening EMH there unless you want to ride EE with a short wait.. But if you're coming to see the animals, good luck.. It was still fun, but still disappointing, considering our favorite part of the park is the animals.. Anyways, after Dinoland, we headed back to the Fort.. and that ends Day 3! Day 4 hopefully coming up later today!

I'm sorry you guys had a hard time at AK! We didn't even go this last trip - we were only in the parks for 3 days so... But, AK is kinda hit-or-miss anyway I think.

Enjoying your TR!

What a tough break at AK! No animals, huh? Nice.

Most people probably use the EMA for EE, Dinosaur, Kali River and.....well that's about it, unless the Lion King and Nemo shows have an extra performance. I doubt it.

We didn't even make it over there this time and we were there for 2 weeks. Mainly because it is soooo hot over there without many chances of beating the heat and there isn't really a lot to do for younger kids who don't ride big thrill rides. I do like AK, it just isn't very convenient for our family.

DHS was the only park we hadn't been to yet on our trip, so we made this our DHS Day. We headed over shortly after opening and went straight to Toy Story Mania to get FP, since they're usually gone by 11. Sure enough, the FP return times were already at 1:30 - and climbing. So we got in line and got ours quickly, before they were all gone. Then we went to get breakfast, and then headed to the Magic of Disney Animation. While we were there, we were excited to see that there was actually an animation artist working in the office they have on display. Look closely at the second pic: do you notice what's on her hand?

Did you see what she was wearing?! It was an art glove that looked like Mickey's glove! I don't know why this fascinates me, but I think that it's the coolest thing. Just shows that there's a bit of Disney magic everywhere in the World. :wizard:

Once we were done animating and meeting Lotso, we split up: Dad and sister went to ToT and RRC, and Mom and I went shopping. Once we met up again, we took the boat to Epcot for our lunch at Le Cellier. It worked quite well because we really only had to walk through the UK to get there. Here are the pics of our food:

Here's my cheddar cheese soup:

And my cheeseburger:

And my mom's steak (my mom, dad and sister all got the same thing, so I didn't feel the need to take multiple pics of the same meal):
http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=87697215022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

After lunch, we took the boat back to DHS, and headed right to TSM to use our FP. Then we decided to do the Backlot Tour for the first time. Then Dad and sister went to use their FP for RRC and Mom and I headed back to the camper to relax. And that ends Day 4! Hopefully I'll have Day 5 up later today! :thumbsup2

Yeah, the Passporter said that most of the rides were open for EMH, so we got excited about doing a sunset safari and everything, but I guess Disney had other ideas.. lol.. We just know not to do EMH there anymore.

Nemo actually did have one showing at 9, I think.. We were going to see it, but my sister wanted to ride Primeval Whirl with my Dad (do you notice the thrillseekers in the family ) and we didn't make the showing. There's actually a funny story with this. My dad and sister went to go ride EE, so Mom and I went shopping in the stores on Discovery Island. We got a text that they were going to go to Dinoland for Primeval Whirl, so we said that we would meet them at Nemo. After we began walking over, we decided to just meet them at Dinoland, and walk over together. So, my mom sent my Dad a text and told him that we were going to go on Triceratop Spin while we waited for them to finish on Primeval Whirl. I guess the message didn't go through, because as we were about to get on, we saw them running full speed ahead towards Nemo. We thought about chasing after them, but we were almost on the ride and didn't feel like fighting through the line to get out - we would just meet them up there when we were done. I decided to call him and tell him what happened, though. He said that they had told the CM at Nemo that his wife and daughter were in there, but she said they were full. He kept trying to get her to let them in, but she wouldn't let them in. I guess it turned out to be a good thing, since we weren't actually in there anyways. haha. We decided it was best to call each other for the remainder of the trip, rather than text.

My mom and I decided to stay at the Fort for the day, and my dad and my sister decided to hit BB by 9, so that they could avoid the huge crowds that appear by mid-afternoon. Shortly after they left, my mom and I decided to do some laundry. But, we realized that it might be a lot easier if we had a golf cart.. So... we went down to the Outpost and went in to see if they had any available.. And.. they did! We only had to wait a little while, and my mom and to fill out a little bit of paperwork.. and then we were off! Here are a few pics of the GC..
http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/AlbumID=2455287022/PictureID=88470602022/a=151700712_151700712/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/

After riding back to check the laundry, we went looping.. While we were out, we passed by KFK's site. I wish I would've had paper with me, because I would have left a note.. Now I will remember to bring paper and pen whenever I am looping!

Once my dad and sister got back, we got ready for our ADR for Chef Mickey's for dinner. Here's a pic of the napkin holder, which I thought was too awesome :thumbsup2:

After dinner, we headed down to the boat dock to get the boat back to FW. While there, I took this blurry pic of the Contmporary while it was all lit up:

Sounds like fun! I love Fort Days...AND Chef Mickey's!

I don't love laundry, but I would've loved a note from you. ;)

BTW, how was Chef Mickey's for dinner? We've only been for breakfast.

So, was Le Cellier all they say it is? It seems to be one of the tough-to-get-into ADRs and I was just curious what you thought.
I'm curious about Chef Mickey's, too! They don't have a lunch, which is when we like to do a "sit down". But, it also seems like a good place to go on a Fort day since it's so close!

Yeah, I love Fort days.. Especially with the GC :) This trip was the first time we rented one (it was the first time we hadn't gotten a preffered site), and it was a lot of fun.. We'll definitely have to remember to get one for the next trip :)

Chef Mickey's is always fun, and I LOVE dinner!! :wizard: There is a great buffet, with a huge variety of food, and the kids food is great! I always see adults coming up to get the mac & cheese and chicken nuggets  I love the character interaction, too.. I'm 15, and this trip I enjoyed the character interactions more than before. Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Mickey came by our table at least 3 or 4 times, and always stopped to play a prank on us (take stuff, play with our hair, etc.). Minnie is the only one that comes by once or twice: at most. I don't know why she's the only one, but she always disappears, and reappears for a few minutes. But other than that, all the characters are great and have a lot of fun with you. Overall, I think it's a great restaurant. One of my favorite memories as a kid was the big ice cream machine, with all the different toppings. They also have tons of other desserts and treats, as well. popcorn::

I always love Le Cellier. It's a little bit dark, but it sets off a nice ambience, and the food is great. I don't think it's as hard to get into any more.. We did our ADRs online, and were able to get in about a month out from our trip! I don't know if attendance is declining, or if people just aren't paying for the meals, or what. But we were able to get into many of the "big ticket" restaurants about a month from our trip.. not sure what's up with that..

Chef Mickey's, like I said, was always a highlight of my trip as a kid. The characters are great, the food is really good, and it's just a really fun restaurant. The other thing is that it's just a boat ride away from the Fort, which is always nice. :goodvibes Lunch would be nice there, but it's also nice to have a breakfast and make it an MK day, or make it an MK day, and then have dinner. Overall, I think it deserves more credit than a lot of disers give it. But then again, I'm not looking for exotic cuisine. I just want my Minnie mac & cheese and Mickey's chicken nuggets! :rotfl: ::MinnieMo
