My first time renting an off-site condo...please share your experiences....

Hi everyone,

I am planning a trip to WDW this October for myself and 3 others. I am
thinking of renting an off property condo for this trip. The prices are
quite reasonable compared to what we were prepared to pay on-site and even
at some of the other off-site resorts.

I have heard a little about allstarvacationhomes.com and windsorhillsrent.com
Can you tell me a little about your experiences with these companies?
Are they reliable? Trustworthy? Properties and prices are as advertised?

We satyed off site for the first time last August. We rented through vacation central. It was wonderful dealing with them. The condo we rented was very cleaned and well furnished. It was very easy dealing with them. When we had a question we e-mailed them and they were very quick in responding. We went with our girls who were 16 and 10 at the time. They really enjoyed spreading out and relaxing after a long day touring the sites. It was also nice to leave Disney behind and relax.
We loved our experience and think of doing it agian for the next time.

Windsorhillsrent.com is a website where individual owners can list their properties. It is not a management company and is similar to looking for a home on vrbo or homeaway.com

Allstarvactionhomes.com is a management company and offers properties in Windsor Hills and other areas near Disney. They have a good reputation on these boards.

We rent through a different management company recommended on these boards - www.floridasunvacationhomes.com. We've been very pleased with this agency.

Another management company recommended on this board is www.ovhfl.com (Oasis management company).

We stayed onsite our last trip for the first time and are returning to staying offsite at Windsor Hills. We are a large family and appreciate the extra space that offsite offers.

We missed the xtra hours at the parks but we really liked staying in a villa with a private pool & hot tub! Everyone having there own room!

We did have some problems. Towels were dirty and we had to call maintenance to do the pool.

I didnt use any of the sites mentioned. Maybe I should have!

We have always had good luck with vrbo.com. Have rented condos and homes at Windsor Hills and Windsor Palms, and never had a problem. I think the way a person reponds to your inquiries tells you a lot about how they run their "business". If you want any specific condos, pm me!
