Hi guys from a very wet UK.
Several things i want to ask.
Firstly,I am a member of the disney classics society,I want to get hold of some society boutique items,eg:clock,sweater,etc,does anywhere in wdw sell them,I called the society last night and asked them if I could order thru them when I am in wdw in Nov and have it delivered whilst I am at okw for my 2 weeks stay,does anyone know if thats possible,will a disney resort accept packages for guests,or would the art of animation in disney village order it for me????????????????
Secondly,I want to find out about the pieces made for the disneyans convention,as my dealer in the uk managed to get hold of a set of the ghosts from the HM,that was a disneyana only piece from approx 2 yrs ago.Is there any info that i can get re othere disneyana pieces????
Thirdly,When and where is the next disneyana convention?I would like to schedule my next visit for then,I guess they have a public day?
Fourth,What is this pin that ap holders get that i read about on this board????

I don't know the answers either. But, I wanted to welcome you. I'm sure someone here will know or be able to find out. I do know that purchases in the park can be sent to your hotel on site. I don't know why you could not receive a delivery.

Hi Madmouse,

You can have packages delivered to your hotel. I have heard of people sending down boxes of snacks so they didn't have to carry extra luggage on a plane. I've even seen a post on rec.arts.disney.parks where someone has sent a small artificial Christmas tree so their family could have a tree in their room.

I can't answer your questions about the WDCC merchandise or HM piece, since I don't collect that stuff.

As far as the Disneyana convention goes, next year it's going to be different. It's going to be shorter, and in August instead of September. I don't even know if there is going to be a Public Day. It's called the "Official Disneyana Mystery" and it will be held August 22-24, 2002. Disney has had a Disneyana Convention website the past couple years, but it hasn't been updated with next year's info, but here's a link to the website and you can keep an eye on it.

1. Shipping to resort while you are a guest. No problem. I have done exactly what Hopemax mentioned: Shipped carton of non-perishable foods. In case it reached the resort before me, I put on the label, "Hold for guest arriving 00/00/00."

2. The AP pin is supposed to be the first of a series marking Walt's 100th birthday. Here's the information from Dizpins News:
"This WDW AP open stock movable pin, 100 Years of Magic Mickey Painting, will be available at the Sorcerer Hat at Disney-MGM Studios on September 27-29, 2001. After that day, the pin will also be available at Island Mercantile at DAK, Expo Hall at the MK and Pin Central at Epcot.
The pin will retail for $10.50."
