Phew!

It's warm and sunny and the weeds and grass are growing and greening up here. Just finished mowing the lawn (and it really needed it). Unfortunately I have a very healthy crop of Florida dandelions and dollar weed. Not to mention stuff I can't identify that has grown all through my Polyensian garden area!!!

It's also orange blossom time. That is one of the BEST things about living in Florida. I am sitting here having an after-mowing orange (ok, two) from my tree, which is chock full of oranges and orange blossoms. It smells SOOOOOO good outside right now!

This weekend we have big plans to get into the Polynesian garden and weed, weed, weed. Hopefully the weather will hold out and we'll be able to make a dent in things.

All the azaleas are starting to bloom. My neighbor's azaleas have a delicate pink flower, and they are in full bloom. Our azaleas are a deep burgundy, and they are just starting to open here and there. My sister has an almost white (it's pink) bunch of azaleas at her house and they are starting to open.

I guess it's spring! Wish you were all here to enjoy it with me!!!

Sending you lots of warm thoughts!

I've never smelled orange blossoms before, TigH, but they do sound like they would smell wonderful. Take a big sniff for me, okay! ;) :)

How is the Polynesian garden coming along?

Any chance we can get some Spring pictures?

Oh, and did I mention I'm grass green with envy? ;) :)

It all sounds very lovely, enjoy!!!

Ohhhh, I'm so jealous. I would LOVE to have an orange tree. We have 2 cherry trees, 2 apple trees, 1 frost peach and 1 pear. The cherries are wonderful, apples o.k., the squirrels get to the few peaches it produces and I haven't seen any pears yet. I pruned them all a few weeks ago so I'm hoping that will help with fruit production.

:smooth:

Oh TigH, it sounds absolutely picture perfect!!! Well, only except for the mowing the lawn part. First mow of the season is appealing but it just reminds me of all the mows that have to follow. However, everything else is just heavenly -- eating oranges from your own orange tree! Wonderful, simply wonderful! Enjoy your spring. Ours can't be too far behind!
