Needed a place the night before our cruise (leave 10/10 out of Port Canaveral). We will be at MK late that Saturday night, so I wanted to book close to WDW but cheap since we will be paying to park at the port (rather than booking a room at the port w/ cruise parking).

After researching on Better Bidding, I bit the bullet on a 2.5 star in LBV/DD area for $32 ($42.03 w/ taxes/fees). According to BB, it should ahve been either the Orlando Vista or Best Western DTD. It was the Orlando Vista (the pineapple hotel at the interseiton of Hotel Plaza Blvd and Apopka Vineland).

I'm sure it will be fine for one night. If you know anything bad about it, please don;t post or I will start to freak out, LOL! I wanted to hold off booking anything, but I know I wouldn't be able to find a decent place (clean, safe and with comfortable beds)for any cheaper than that, so I went for it.

I thought I would revive this since I am considering this resort as well but for 5 nights. Thanks for any info. Linda :)

We haven't stayed there in a few years but we used to stay there. Never had a problem back then and the beds were very comfy.

We actually just stayed there this past Saturday, also booked through hotwire, and thought it was a pretty decent hotel. The continental breakfast is kinda lacking compared to other hotels, but since we booked it for $35 it wasn't a big deal and we just went next door to Ihop and ate. We had a problem with the TV when we got in our room, but the front desk sent someone up right away (within 5 minutes) though it took close to 30 minutes to get it fixed though it wasn't the fault of the maintence guy. The cable inlet on our tv was broke so he went to storage to get another one, installed it and realized that the tube in it was bad (even though it clearly had a piece of tape on it that said working) so instead of going back down to storage he went into one of the empty rooms and took the TV out of there. We also had a problem with the bathroom door sticking but not enough to call, we just told them when we checked out.

Thanks for the recent review! We probably won't get there before 10 PM (MSEP is at 9 PM, Wishes at 10, may not stay for that), so I'll be happy if it's clean (first priority) and comfortable. :thumbsup2

We stayed 2 night before checking into WDW last Sept and had a very nice stay, rooms were clean, service friendly and loved how close were were to dtd.

Only thing I didnt care for was the musty smell in hallway but I would go back!
