This is my first trip report so forgive me if it’s too wordy. It was just my fiancé and I and we ate pretty basic meals! I hope its not too boring!

December 31, 2005

Breakfast … We had bagels and water at the airport and cookies and juice on the plane!

Lunch … As soon as we walked in to check in at the Pop Century all I could smell was pizza! I don’t know if I was just craving it like crazy (I had watched Home Alone the night before and Kevin McAlister really makes lovely cheese pizzas look delicious) So while my fiancé (we just got engaged a few weeks before the trip, so I want to write out the word Fiancé at least once) Nick checked in, I headed to the food court and got us a personal pepperoni pizza to share. It really hit the spot!

Dinner… We headed over to see the gingerbread house at GF and they were sold out of gingerbread! I was bummed, so we went to try and grab a late lunch/early dinner at Kona Café, but they were closed so we headed to Captain cooks!
We got a Chicken Caesar salad, a tuna sandwhich to share, and an orange and a banana. We knew we would be drinking so we wanted to eat healthy (kinda)

We had lots of cocktails that night! We had a bottle of champagne and it got fuzzy from there! We went to PI and really had a great time. It was expensive, but being on the street and getting COVERED in confetti was really fun, and worth it! We didn’t even get our free champagne toast because we really didn’t need it, nor did we visit the free food stations set up (we actually didn’t see any of them).

January 1st 2006

Breakfast…. 2 yummy adult breakfast platters from the Pop food court

Lunch… Pasta and meatballs and some Mac and cheese from the Pop Food court… needless to say, we didn’t get an early start on this day! We really tried, but Nick was down for the count

Snack…

Dole Whips!!! I am crazy about them! I added rainbow jimmies, and they did not disappoint. :cheer2:

Dinner…

OHANAS!!! This was our third time there and it was amazing! This was the first time Nick was actually healthy enough to eat! The first two times he was fighting different bugs (he gets sick a lot! You’ll see). First time since the new changes and they were great! We LOVED the potatoes and the salad! The wontons were kinda whack, but everything else made up for it. We didn’t get any bread, but I’m not sure if they even give it out anymore. The amount of food was outrageous. The meat was great and really filling. I made sure to save some room for dessert because I was psyched out of my mind about it… and WOW, it was unreal. Nick wasn’t going to try some because he’s not into desserts and he can be a baby about trying new things (bread pudding sounded too exotic to him)… but he LOVED it. It truly was out of this world. We were CRAZY stuffed after this meal. We headed to EMH at MK till 3am with full bellies. Our pictures are so funny because we were just groggy and stuffed!

January 2nd 2006

Breakfast… Nick got the apple turnover and I just grabbed a granola bar that I brought with me. I think I had a carnation instant breakfast as well, but I didn’t write it down. I tried to drink some vitamins as much as I could because I was starting to get sick.

Lunch… we got to EPCOT and really wanted to just share things and snack around.
We started with Fish and Chips from England… so yummy
We headed over to Tepenyaki and had crunch spicy tuna roll, tempura, California rolls, and some soup… and lots of tea!
I grabbed a skool bread because everyone raves about it. It was sooo good!!! I was in heaven! I didn’t really like the custard, but the outer part was yummy! I ate a good part of it… nick wouldn’t try it because he thinks he hates coconut.

Dinner…
We went to MGM to see the Osborne lights. I got a pretzel for dinner because there is NOTHING like a Disney pretzel. Nick got a churro and we shared a hot chocolate in a collectors mug!

When we headed to the hotel Nick got a double cheeseburger and fries and I grabbed some tea … mug fight alert … I used the mug from MGM and filled it with hot water. I had tea bags in my room as well as pop mugs, but I didn’t want to walk to get the mugs and come back. I was so scared someone would come up to me and say something mean about me using my MGM mug… I really did have pop ones, and it was just hot water, I swear. I even asked Nick if he had the receipt for the mugs in his wallet just incase someone was mean to me. Lol… he thought I was being ridiculously paranoid, but he doesn’t dis and he has never seen a mug fight! :rotfl:

January 3rd 2006

Breakfast… Crystal Palace. This was our first time and WOW-e-WOW. We were among the first people there and the food was so fresh and warm! This was such a fun experience. The breakfast lasagna was really great and Nick loved the corned beef hash. The fruit was really great with big huge strawberries. We finished up after pictures with all the characters and headed out and took some really beautiful pictures in front of the castle. This is going to sound crazy, but they were so nice that I literally welled up and thanked the girl over and over who took our picture with tears in my eyes, telling her that it was our engagement photo. We were so nervous about taking the right picture, and this girl just snapped it and it came out PERFECT! :bride: There wasn’t a single person around us because we were so early in the park! I recommend this meal to anyone.

Lunch… Earl of Sandwich. I did expect the sandwiches to be a little bigger with all the talk here on the Dis, but they were still a good size. I got the Caprese which had mozzarella, fresh basil and tomato. It was excellent! Nick got the Island Jerk Chicken and he really liked it.

Snack… I headed out to Goofy’s candy shop and made a chocolate, caramel and M&M covered rice crispy treat. It lasted me all week! Loved it!

Dinner… Pop century Food Court. I was really getting sick, and so was Nick so we headed back to the hotel. Nick got some chicken strips. I’m not sure if he liked them or not, and he is playing RISK with a friend right now, so I don’t want to disturb him to ask. I got the Kevin McAlister special, “a lovely (personal) cheese pizza, all for me!”

January 4th 2006

Breakfast… Pop Food court … we were pretty familiar with the food court because we were spending SO much time in the room between us both getting sick. He got the Adult breakfast platter and I had oatmeal and a carnation. Same ole same ole. Still all great.

Lunch… Nick went to Disneyquest and I stayed back taking medicine. He had a Chilidog. I had an apple with peanut butter to try and feel a little better.

Dinner… California Grille… I sucked it up and we went out! We had already cancelled so many priority seatings because I was so sick and really not that hungry and I didn’t want to loose this one. We started with the Quatro Cheese Flatbread and it was fabulous. I wanted another one, but our meals were on the way. Nick got the Mahi Mahi with risotto and I got the Deluxe Sushi platter. This is the part that is going to make your wallets cringe… the second my sushi platter was placed in front of me I lot my appetite. I don’t know why I thought sushi would be the cure all to my sickness, but the thought of choking them down was too much for me. I had about 2 pieces for Nick because he was so bummed that I even ordered an entrée to begin with. He knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it. He loved his meal and made sure he forced down the better part of my $25 meal.
We ordered a dessert when we ordered our meal so it was on its way even though I was feeling ill. It was a chocolate lava cake with peppermint sauce, peppermint ice cream, and crushed candy canes. We love peppermint so this was perfect for us! (I had a couple bites, so sue me)

Breakfast… (you guessed it) Pop Century food court… Nick had the Adult breakfast platter and I had an orange and a carnation instant breakfast. (I had some orange soda too, I was craving it and I only used my $13 mug once before that)

Lunch… Pizzafari … Nick had the Hot Italian sandwich (that he raved about) and I had the cheese pizza which was yummy as usual.

Snack… Some AK cart. I had a Mickey ice cream bar and nick had the strawberry bar. We switched halfway through because we were eating each others anyway!

Dinner… Hoop-de-doo… we were so drained! We left early in the morning and stayed out the whole day until the 9:30 showing of the HDDR. We had some coffee at MK, but we were crashing. The show was really good… but has anyone else who has seen the show more then once find it hard to like any other casts? It may sound weird, but I really loved the first cast we saw, and the rest kind of pale in comparison. I’m not sure if it’s just me. The food was great. I LOVE the salad there. I ate the whole container myself! The bread is so tasty too. I filled up before the chicken and ribs came! Nick loved the ribs and we both really liked the corn on the cob. The strawberry shortcake was really delicious as well!

The best part of the meal was when we left to grab a bus to head to downtown Disney to then take a bus to the Pop. As we walked toward the busses there were castmembers pointing out different busses to different resorts. It was a perfect ending to a VERY long day!!! We were home so much faster then we would have been. Plus it was so nice to just sit on ONE bus instead of switching.

January 6th 2006

Breakfast… personal stash. I had some granola bars and I think Nick either passed on breaky, or had some of my granola bars as well!

Lunch… Pizza Planet… 2 cheese pizzas!!! We were crazy about them this trip!!

Snack… granola bars

Dinner… Planet Hollywood… Nick got the LA lasagna which he gets everytime we go there and he loved it! I got the toastado and I really don’t even remember anything about it.. but I am pretty sure I didn’t like it. We got the spinach dip to start and I just munched on the rest of that for my meal.

Late late night snack… pop food court. We got a HUGE ice cream sundae and it REALLY hit the spot!

Januarty 7th 2006
Breakfast … Pop century… we switched it up today! Nick got a chocolate croissant and I had a bagel with peanut butter… hey, the marathon runners were eating it, must be good for me!

More Breakfast… Main Street Bakery… French toast loaf, HUGE cinabun, hot chocolate, and a red poweraid. We must have had the WORST French toast loaf from the history of the French toast loaf. It was so dry and hard. We were JIPPED! We shared the cinabon, and it was really great… I think it’s up there with the turkey leg as the best deals in Disney world. It is huge, and really cheap and really yummy!!!

Lunch… Sci Fi Dine in … WOW.. what an awesome restaurant. It was so quiet! Everyone was watching all of the clips, so everyone was really quiet. It made it such a nice break! We started out with the Onion Rings which we devoured! I had a cheeseburger with swiss cheese and mushrooms and Nick had the Rueben. We were both in heaven. The meal and the atmosphere was just perfect.

Dinner… Cantina in Mexico. We had ADR’s for San Angel Inn and as we were waiting I looked at the menu and realized that I didn’t really want anything other then a burrito, and they didn’t offer one. So Nick and I just had fast food! I had the burrito and Nick had the tostada which he did not like! I loved the burrito, but his hate for the tostada overshadowed my meal. I picked up some hot chocolates for us and we sat at the PERFECT table for viewing Illuminations. But, it was FREEEZING that night!!! We had a half hour to go and we were shivering like wet kittens, so we went home! I know I know… we should have waited… it was our last night too, so it was extra bad that we left. But, we were happy with our decision at the time.

The next day we left first thing in the morning and we just ate at the airport.

I hope you liked reading this… I realize that I say really and great waaaaaaaaay too much! So sorry if you got sick of reading the same descriptive words over and over! It also looks like we spent all of our time at the hotel and no time in the parks… that is not really true. I was sick, but we did come back and forth to the hotel in between EHMs and such. So we were always taking breaks. We did cancel a ton of ADRs because we were running late or just not up to spending an hour in a restaurant eating. So we just ate a bunch of our meals at the food court before we headed back out.

I know we have the receipts somewhere, but we just moved so I can’t find them at the moment. But we ate pretty basic, so I doubt you would be interested in the tally, but if anyone is I can do that later! If you have any questions, please ask if you didn’t get bored and fall asleep at the computer!!! :surfweb:
