Hi there! I have decided to do my first ever dining report! :cool1:

We scheduled a family vacation around a conference that I had to attend, which was conveniently held at the Beach Club. The conference was 12/ 2 - 12/5 and the whole trip was 11/29 - 12/6.

Cast of characters include me, the planner and Disney fanatic. :earboy2:
My DH, the Disney convert. :earsboy:
Our 2 DDs, 8 and 5 years old. princess:princess:

I love reading dining reviews and looking at everyone's pictures. After every trip I always say that I am going to do a DR and never do, so here we are with Number One. Thanks for following along!

Here we are last year at BOG:

On our arrival day we got to the Beach Club around 3:30 and our room was ready so we stopped there for a few minutes and then headed out to HS.

I have heard and seen posts here about how easy it is to walk to HS so we decided to give it a try. Well that was an epic fail because we somehow missed the path and ended up at Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf, lol! :rotfl2:

We finally got there and we were hungry from traveling, but where to eat?? HS isn't my favorite for CS, and the one I would go to (Starring Rolls) was closed. So we decided to try Min and Bill's.

We went with the pretzel dogs and they were able to leave the mustard off for the girls. The girls wanted milkshakes, too. Well, its vacation, right? ;)

They were warm and tasted fresh, and the mustard was a little spicy. The hotdog was a little underdone for me, as I like them on the well done side but they filled us up. The milkshakes were very thick, creamy and chocolate-y, they were a hit with the girls!

We headed over to TSM to use our FP+, which was awesome to ride so late in the day without waiting in the SB line.

Next up, snacks at Sweet Spells.

great start - on the face of it I love the idea of going to WDW for business but then how do you ever get anything done knowing what's outside? Glad you built some family time in. :)

Hi, Thanks for the report! I have had the pretzel dog before and liked it, but I did not know you could ask for no mustard. It looked like it was built into the rolled pretzel bread. This is good to know, since my DD hates mustard. We also loved the shakes. They were so big we shared one.

The conference was 7am - 12pm most days, so we planned for DH to go to rope drop with the girls and I would meet them when I could. That went out the window when DD got sick the first night.....

Sounds like a fun report!

That milkshake looks heavenly! :)

It was good!

DH ordered so I didn't even realize it had mustard on it, even though I read the menu , I guess I missed that part, so I'm glad he thought to order them without.

Joining in, great start!!!

Thanks!!

Crowds were heavy, but not so bad that we couldn't move, so we used some of our FP+ and enjoyed walking around. I don't go on "big" rides so I had some time to myself while DH took the girls on ToT. I ended up here:

Everything looked so good!

I wasn't hungry for any sweets, even though I really wanted to try the carrot cake cookie! So I got a blue Goofy Glacier:

This was good, I love slushy drinks! But it was really cold and breezy so it maybe wasn't the best choice, but when the girls got off ToT they shared it with me. This was good, I would definitely get it again.

Next up, changing plans and lunch at LTT.

So the next day (11/30) were were going to do MK at rope drop until our ADR at LTT, and then hop over to AK with a late Y&Y dinner. That was the plan until DD woke up at 2am crying because of ear pain. I went to the front desk and found out that the urgent care places were not open at that hour. She was really in pain so I took her to Celebration Hospital and I am happy to say the ER staff was fantastic! And on the plus side, we were in and out, with antibiotics and ear drops in less than 35 minutes! :thumbsup2

DH woke up and took our other daughter to MK while I slept in with my tired girl. When she woke up she decided that she didn't want to miss LTT, so we met them for lunch.

We were seated in the Thomas Jefferson room. Our server was great and very attentive to drink refills, etc.

I didn't even need a menu, I chose my favorite, salad and Freedom Pasta:

DH got clam chowder and New England Pot Roast:

The girls got Mac and Cheese:

Dessert was raspberry sorbet for me:

and Ooey Gooey Toffee for DH:

The girls had vanilla ice cream (no pic).

This is one of my favorite TS in all of WDW. Everything was great and it remains on our must-do list.

I’m in! Love your BoG pic.

I don’t think I have ever seen a review of Min and Bill’s before! :scared1: The pretzel dog doesn’t look bad at all, but I’m with you - I like a hotdog to be cooked within an inch of incineration!

I love Sweet Spells. I don’t think we actually went in there this trip, but we have definitely visited in the past - very cool place. I wish I had realized that they had the freezy drinks there - our trip was in August, we definitely could have used more frozen drinks!

I am so sorry your DD was sick. :( But I have to say that I am SHOCKED that anyone got in and out of an ER in 35 minutes! That is truly incredible.

Mmmm, the LTT food looks yummy and filling. We have never tried LTT!

Reading along! You hit some of my favorites!

Thanks!

Haha, I like your description of a perfect hotdog! LTT lunch is great, definitely worth a try!

Great start!

Thanks!

We stopped at the MSB, basically because I had to since it has been a hot topic here on the boards. I have to say it was very quick service and although it was crowded, it moved very quickly. I never sat in MSB before, so I didn't miss the seating area. That's all I'll say about that! :) I had my favorite, venti iced black tea:

Some other pics, they had the holiday drinks out as well.

fantastic photos and reviews so far..

I love the looks of that seafood chowder and the pot roast..always wondered how it was..

My favorite dessert has been the sorbet when I go to a sit down..sort of fills in the places that dinner missed..

thanks again for your reviews

Mmmmmm , I love Min & Bills dockside , your kids picked the perfect meal , I wish I had of know you could leave the Dijon off , I would have preferred regular yellow mustard .
Great reviews , can't wait for the rest !
