My FIL dropped his cell phone in the....

My kids did that to our last cell phone!! Nedless to say it was fried and had to be replaced! Good luck!

Yup, my DD did that to our cordless, now DH won't get me a cell!!!

I did the same thing last year!!!!! I dried it out (took the back off etc) for a while and it has been working since.....the only thing is you can't dial a 4, 5 or 6. I have no idea why?????

So, I had people call me so I could save their number to my phone...it dials it fine in memory, you just cant hit the button and have it register.

It actually has been about 9 months now too....

We have very expensive cell phones (that only work inside the hospital) that the nurses are always accidentally dropping in the toilet!

I dropped our cordless in the toilet back in first grade while talking to my then best friend. Her parents still haven't let me forget it (it's been 10 years). My stepsister dropped a newer cordless in the toilet a couple years ago while talking to her mom.
My dad's employee dropped my dad's cell phone in the waste water lagoon at some treatment facility in Texas. That one got replaced as soon as he was home.

I dropped a pager in the toilet once. It worked after I dried the electronics with a blow dryer! I also dropped a $1000 radio into a tank at work but it woked after it dried out.

First off,
For that to happen that would mean you would have to have it in the bathroom with you and....that possibly means using the phone while using the toilet? ewww
I defintely dont want to be talking to someone while there busy doing their business

Secondly one of the guys at work dropped his phone in one of those Porta Potties like you see at a fair and he reached with his hand and fished it out! Ever got a glimpse of whats down in there??? !!!!! EWWWWWW GROSS!

DH dropped his cell phone in the toilet while I was hospitalized after have DS two months ago. The phone did not work for two weeks. After it completly dried it worked. Now DH is dying to get a new phone. He hates his old one

My husband dropped his in the toilet soon after he got a new cell phone. He fished it out (luckily he hadn't had time to do any duty), then took off the back and blew it dry with my hair dryer. I couldn't help because I was ROTFL too hard. Luckily it worked fine after it completely dried out.

The only thing I have so far drop into the toliet is a pair of inexpensive sun glasses. They went into the trash!

DFIL, while on a trip about a month and a half ago in Las Vegas, sent his swimming in a cup of coffee. He has also fried various pagers in the past by
1) leaving them clipped onto his shorts while wading in the ocean
and my favorite story is the one where he was out with his boat and forgot to plug something in the bottom to keep water from coming in. MIL and DH notice water coming in and DFIL figures out where it's coming from after a few moments. His pager is clipped to his belt and he jumps in the water to plug up whatever needs plugging up to keep the boat afloat. Pager is FRIED.

I also confess to having fried a couple of pagers myself..once by dropping it in the toilet, once by accidentally leaving it clipped to a pair of shorts that got throw in the wash. DH fried my brother's cell once by tossing him into the pool with the phone in his (DB's) pocket.
