My fellow Mummy fanatics...I have found a video!!!!!

I think that's the clearest video I've seen of it, although it cuts out the entire first scene. Other than that, it's a good video. For anyone wondering, the dark part that sounds like a category 3 hurricane is the roller coaster section.

Yeah, I thought it was really clear too. I have been looking for a video of the Orlando one for some time.

Thank you SO much for the video. I am very excited to ride! I just rented both Mummy movies so that I remember everything.

what does the scarab scene feel like?where do you feel them?can you feel them on your face?thanks guys nervous little brother gets a bit scaed of these things

I didn't think the effect worked. They sprinkle a little water on you, it feels like it is coming from above. But, it doesn't really feel like you can "feel" them. The screams on the video are from the unexpected drop backwards at that moment.

Thanks for the link. I got it to work. Do you happen to know the passwords to get into the rest of the rides? I would love to see them.

Sorry, I can't give them out. You can pay him 2.50 through paypal and get access to them though. He said that each person is issued an indivual user name and password. I thought it was worth it. Most of the videos are really great!

I couldn't get the videos to work on either computer.

:(

Sad to say but that is the effect. . . .

thank you!!

oh lord...now I gotta psyche myself up to do this!

I hit the jackpot on my trip October 2nd.

I have Mpegs of the major coasters at IOA, and the Mummy (1 regular, 2 in night shot mode). And they're free, just because I wuv you all.

Now, the thing is, these files are huge (50 megs). I'd suggest you do one at a time. The site will stay up, so don't worry about getting them all at once. It's a lot of data to download. Take your time and do a couple each day saving to your hard drive. Enjoy.

Did you shoot all those? If so, let me take a moment to state that taking a camera on a coaster is dangerous and blah blah blah.

So, how'd you keep them so dang steady? The stuff I've shot has come out jumpy as heck. Is a wide angle lens that helpful - a friend of mine who does coaster POV videos recommended a fisheye lens...

Granted, the stuff I've shot on has been bumpy Carowinds coasters, so that may be a factor.

Yes, I shot them, they're mine. I had a strap around my wrist and both hands gripping it like you wouldn't believe.

The wide angle lens may help because it's taking a bigger field of view. After my first video of the DBH a few years ago, I've learned that you must keep your arms close to your body. In the case of the B&M rides, both hands were supported against the metal grab bars of the OTSR. But boy, you can see a lot of shaking going on. For the Mummy and JPRA, I just made sure to keep it steady the best I could.
Well, many of you already know the camera I used, it's this one here. I bought it because it's tiny, and takes Mpeg videos at 640x480 and I've got the gig memory stick.

The wide angle lens is this

If anyone wants to use them for non profit use, that's fine with me.

After riding ROTM many many times last week...I'm REALLY surprised how anyone can take videos while riding it!

I thought I was going to hate it...but I loved it. Spiderman is still my #1 favorite ride at IOA...this one is my fav at US! :)
