My Mom is having surgery tomorrow to try and restore circulation to her leg. The surgery will take around four hours and she is 79 years old with many medical issues. Please say a prayer for her safety and recuperation...she is the sweetest Mom one could ever hope for.

I will pray for your mom, disneygal. Praying that God will guide the doctors' hands, that the veins and arteries will be clear and strong and that she will be safe during this surgery - also for quick healing.

Thank you MAGICFOR2. You are very kind and we appreciate your prayers. Doubt I can sleep tonight...just keeping thinking about things.

So sorry to hear about your mom. I will pray for a successful surgery and a complete recovery.

Lord, grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change,
the courage to change the things that we can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I see no purpose in prayer but that doesn't mean I don't care :) I hope your mom recuperates fully. Wishing you both well!

My thoughts are with you and your mother not only during her surgery but with post rehabilitation. It will be successful and as usual she will brave it all with flying colors.

Your Mom and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Prayers for your Mom. Sending a little :littleangel: to sit on her shoulder. How is she doing?
Nancy

Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts. She came through the surgery successfully! The surgery was delayed until 12 noon yesterday and actually took 8 hours instead of the originally discussed 4 hours. They had thought that afterwards she may be confused and would probably go to CCU. Well my Mom awoke from anesthesia very alert and went back to the same hospital unit she had been staying in! The surgeon feels that her surgery was successful and she should do well. God Bless all of you!

So thankful that the surgery was successful and I will pray for a speedy recovery. My husband has had 2 surgeries for leg circulation (has a stent in the bad leg) and has had wonderful success with his. We have been to Disney several times since and have sometimes rented scooters and sometimes not. He routinely goes in for blood flow checks and has been "flowing free" for several years. Praying for your Mom!

Well you just made my day. Thanks for posting this wonderful update. I hope that all continues to go smoothly.
