Thanks so much (again) for your support. I've just returned to my home this evening. The rituals of funerals and wakes and burials were strangely comforting to me over these past couple of days. The community at my family home was amazing with their overwhelming presence, especially with all the food that appeared. I've brought my mom to spend the next week with me. She was wanting to hide out for a while, too much of a good thing I guess.

DH and I are going to be at WDW soon and I was feeling quite guilty about going through with it after what has just happened. Mom has convinced me that the sudden death of my brother is the perfect reason to go on vacation, after all if this could take him so suddenly then death can take anyone at any time.

I need to make a few calls to tell some more people that I love them. Perhaps I should make this a more regular occurrance, just in case.

Thank you all for such an outpouring of support. Very soon after I posted last we were called to the hospital. My brother was taken off life support and passed away peacefully with his daughter, mother, me and my DH with him.

Your messages are helping me right now and also make me cry!
