Hi all,

My family gave me the best birthday present ever! I just had to share my excitement with someone who would understand what a great gift this is! :yay:

Of course, in addition to the gift of the Disneyland brick, my hubby said that I will HAVE to go visit Disneyland! :yay:

I have the best family!

The only bad part, is that my brick won't be placed until AUGUST! I don't think I can wait that long!

WAW! that is so neat! Im so jealous! how did they manage to set this up?!

That is SO cool! Congrats. I looked into that at one point, I don't remember how much they were but I remember thinking it was more than I wanted to spend.

How fun! I didn't know they still did that. Did they say how long it takes for it to get put in?

Hi,

It costs $150. plus $35 for an acrylic or wooden replica. If you are a Premium Passholder, there is a 10% discount.

I won't receive the acrylic replica for about 8-10 weeks and they said that my brick would be placed sometime in August (my husband ordered it at the beginning of April).

They sent me a 'Certificate of Authenticity' that has a small snapshot of what the brick will look like and map of where the brick will be laid...it looks like its near the entrance of Disneyland in Section C01 on the "Walk of Magical Memories".

You can choose between about 6 different Logos...mine has the Mickey Hands holding a heart. The other choices are: Celebrate Everyday (Castle), Wedding Bells, Mouse Ears with current year, Annual Pass holder (Mickey ears, and Cast Member (Mickey-standing). They are pretty picky as to what you can have on the brick. For example, you aren't allowed to say: "To Mom" we love you.... etc. You are restricted to 16 characters per line (including spaces) - 3 lines. You may only use proper names, a single date, season, and a city/state. You may not use memorials, multiple dates, company names nicknames, titles or salutations.

I think they guarantee that it will stay in the walkway for at least 10 years.

For more info call: (800) 760-3566 (Monday-Friday) or email them at: dl.bricks@disney.com. They will send you the information and an application.

Hope this helps answer some of your questions!

That is way cool!!! What a good idea!!! I can say that cause I gave that as a Christmas present to my mum last year. She freaked right out and nearly fainted :lmao: I can only imagine how you reacted. My mom said its like having your own name on the Hollywood walk of fame, but not in Hollywood! :lovestruc Now you can always be at Disneyland, when you cant be there yourself.

I tried to contain my excitement 'cause we were having dinner at a really fancy restaurant!

I agree with your mum...I feel so special...I always have a hard time leaving disneyland - now, I can feel like I'm there all of the time too! ;)

Do you have plans to go to Disneyland anytime soon? You can take pictures of yourself with it and point at it like you would the star! That's what we did. How fun!

That cost is pretty reasonable. I may get one for my DD7... then not tell her until she "finds" it on the walkway at DL. Imagine the look on her face to see her name on a brick walkway.

Keep in mind they take MONTHS to get put in place. Some friends ordered one and it was about 6-7 months before it was laid. It's probably due more to them having to put the construction wall up around where it was and they laid a bunch at once.
