Here we go, dining plan review for 2-1 / 2-7...
Starring: ME! The ultimate glutton in WDW, as opposed to the rigid 1400 calorie a day eating, gym FREAK, bore I am @ home.

DFi: Lives to feed me no matter how many times I tell him im on a diet. He can't get over the first 4 years we were together when I ate just to past the time.

Background: 2nd official time to WDW, first time onsite, CBR. (the first time was a wash :)

Day 1

Arrival Day, I knew we were going to MK so I quickly scanned my mental dis database. Yes, I heard so much about Cosmic Rays, so we went there. *I am a huge cheeseburger fan, which is something you will see a lot of in this report!* We both ordered bacon double cheeseburgers on the plan *because we could*, normally we probably would have split one of those. Accompanied by 2 lemonades, a brownie and carrot cake for DFi. We made a beeline for the toppings section. Wow, they sure do have a lot. I grabbed probably 5
tomatoes, some sauteed onions, a whole buncha lettuce, ken's dijon sauce (hmm whats this?) and mayo and we were on our way to find seating. We sat outside, we a beautiful view of the castle, wonderful weather and right next to what seems like a lake. It was a gorgeous setting. Somehow we managed to devour our burgers after looking at them and saying "no way we are gonna finish these" our tummys thought otherwise. Our fries were mercilessly dipped in Ken's Dijon sauce, We used this pretty much everywhere after that. Ken...we love you!

Too stuffed for dessert, so we in turn stuffed the cake and browie in our fanny packs and go back to exploring MK for the first time. 2 cs credits.

For dinner we had no adr's planned, and I had intially planned on going over to Planet hollywood with the free meal vouchers we recieved but um...that was until I read the fine print! Between 11am - 6 pm...my plan did not involve leaving the parks to take a bus, to take another bus to go eat at somewhere that I have eaten here at home (nyc) plenty of times. So that was scratched.

Instead we both decided that we really weren't THAT hungry anyway and decided to forget about eating for the night. That was until we got on the bus back to CBR. We decided, we'd split another double bacon cheese...hey? Why Not?

Old Port Royale: Hey is it me but do alllll disney cs burgers taste the same? Oh well, I still enjoyed it. Hey Ken!! 1 cs credits.

*see previous pics, it looked the same, I promise!*

February 2nd 2006

Next Up...Crystal Palace. Had dinner here last august and I had a terrible time, maybe because I am a picky eater, or maybe I'm not a fan of really bad food, either way, I had totally written this place off and I was content with seeing pooh and friends in Mickey's Toontown. That was until, the planning freak in me took over and after hearing someone's glorious review of CP's breakfast I decided to book and early breakfast since we had a late CM Dinner planned, and we could use some more cs in between. Crystal Palace breakfast is awesome! I saw this place in a brand new light!! (considering the sun was out) Our server was glorious, the food was super super yummy. And oh my...the cinnamon puffed french toast...pure heaven. I was seriously contemplating taking about 30, stuffing them in my fanny pack so I could eat them all day long. Unfortunately, the cameras took up too much space, and I saw Pooh eyeing me from the corner, so I quickly dimissed the idea. Well maybe not so quickly...The eggs, bacon, potatoes and some more stuff, (I dunno, look at the pictures) were all very good. I thought by far this was the best breakfast we were going to have in WDW, but I was wrong. Eeyore finally gave me a pic after shunning me last august and all of the characters esp. piglet were really cute, of course I wore pink to match my friend piglet. 2ts (unplanned, saw the $40 bill and I wasn't really to part with my first $50 yet soooo I whipped out my card with force.)

*pics coming soon to a disboard near you (still waddling through 1200 pics)*

Later on that day, we asked a CM where we could find my ELUSIVE Daisy. The CM said, MGM by the HUT. We went to MGM to find the HUT (which is like 1300 hops, 1600 jumps, and about 1200 skips from MK btw). Found Daisy @ the HAT...yea...our second time...

SO after that we ate at (Insert name here) All American Cafe, I think its ruby's...its the only place for burgers on Sunset... (you people are asking me tooo much to remember a name) Well once again, the double bacon with fries and lemonade...and KEN! Hey BABY! We had chocolate cake as out dessert which DFI loved I took a couple bites... a lil too rich for my taste. Yeah, I'm pretty sure by now that all disney cs burgers taste the same. 1cs

Next after spectro, was Chef Mickey's. Yayyyyy! I was so super duper excited to eat here! We had such a fab time in august. Now we are back, took a fabulous photo and sat in the more lighted area this time. I had prime rib, which was almost seasoned to perfection, some mickey ravioli some super yummy mashed potatoes, and yes thats it. Not that I didn't want to try anything else because its bad, but like I said I'm super picky and thats all I ate. Dfi ate something else, who knows (forgive me people but im still trying to remember what I had for breakfast YESTERDAY much less 3 weeks ago). We had to strawberry daquiris which were incl. on the plan...anything non alchoholic is included. The food was fabulous, the characters were spectacular. Goofy dragged me out of my chair took me by the hand and spun me, grabbed me close and spun me and dipped me! I'm only 23 but I think he gave me a hot flash. Its a shame he's too old for me. I felt like I was dancing with the stars. 2 ts

Food was Fabulous, Characters were great, and this time...I spun my napkin! (please, the applause isn't necessary!)

Next Time...Old Port Royale Breakfast, Electric Umbrella and Le Cellier...

Thanks for a great report :cool1:

I would love to hear more - gives me my Disney fix pixiedust: for the day.

I wish I could do more burgers - but at my age (double yours) it will not look good on my hips. :goodvibes

I try more salads and then in the late afternoon I eat :mickeybar , best I drink more water

Glad to hear you liked CP - breakfast their is our favorite too. We always do a late breakfast 10:30 AM on an Early Entry day - it's like eating lunch when you are up at 6 AM (on vacation  )

We can not wait till our next adventure - our kids can nor wait till they are out of school and start summer vacation at WDW :cheer2:

I get the idea... chow down one Disney CS burger, chowed down them all! ;)

Keep those reviews coming!

Thanks for posting,
-penny
:goodvibes

This is great!! It is so funny, I NEVER eat a burger unless it is at a home bbq, no reason behind, just the way I am. Well, when DF and I had the DP last fall it seemed all he wanted to eat were cheeseburgers, I probably had about a burger a day too :rotfl:

Great Report!! I think I am going to try and get an ADR at CP breakfast on our next trip. It sounds great!!

Thanks for the reviews.I didn't really care for CP dinner either but now I am going to HAVE to try breakfast. :) Looking forward to more pictures.

Excellent reviews - I'm really looking forward to reading the rest. While I'm waiting, I think I'll head to the grocery store to get some Ken's...I have a craving all the sudden. ;)

Great review and pictures, thanks.

I too think all WDW burgers are created equal....great reviews so far so thanks

i asked this before but don't remember where( :scratchin ) so can some one describe the french toast at CP is it as sweet as tonga toast( that's too sweet for me) and why is it puffed -is it stuffed?

I think they fry it ?? not sure. There's nothing inside it though.
I LOVE that stuff!! It is probably my favorite food there besides the French Onion soup at Chefs de France. I've never had tonga toast though so I can't help you there.

Great review (especially since I have ADRs at Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys and definitely want to make it to Cosmic Rays). Nice pictures too. :)

yumm. cosmic rays looks good, are those banana peppers beside the pickles on the one?

Great reviews - thanks! Your pictures are making me so hungry, and I don't even like cheeseburgers!
