My experience with Connections...LONG

I joined Connections through MyPoints and ordered Disney ticket online the same day. The next day I got a call from American Express checking on the order because it was an online order over $500. They said they would open up the amount and I would need to call Connections to reconfirm the order. I did this but they couldn't find my membership in their computer. After talking with a Supervisor, I replaced the order and it went through the American Express with no problems. I checked my cc online the next day and was double charged. Called 800 number and they still could not find my info in their computer. Not very impressive customer service. They took my info and said someone would have to get back to me. Came home the same day and had my UPS package from Connections with my order. Only...I received two set instead of one. That is why I was double billed. Tried calling all afternoon and waited on hold each time for over 30 minutes and then hung up. Decided to contact them online and was VERY upset in my message. Had a return email within an hour and said someone would get back to me within 5 days. They called in one day and whoever I spoke with this time (a different 800 number) was VERY professional. I have to return the tickets certified mail and they will reimburse my cc for the shipping. Also, I will be receiving two additional Quick and Casual lunch vouchers for my inconvenience (hopefully). Anyway, it seems that if you have a problem to tried using the online message system. Their customer service seems to know what they are doing. The number I used was 888-206-2321. Hope this helps someone. Sorry so long...

The more I look at it, the more I hope that people do likewise.

Breakfast vouchers seem to be good only for character meals, where they save you only $1.92, if you avoid the tip.
Quick and casual vouchers seem to be good only at two resort restaurants so if your vacation time and location is such that you do not plan to go resort hopping that is out of the question.
And the other vouchers force you to select the most expensive items in the menu, regardless of your eating preferences, to avoid coming up short.
If you tip along with the vouchers, are selective about what you eat (no red meats, etc) or are no big feeder there goes your savings...

If it wasn't enough, for months people have been posting about problems with Connections at the time of ordering that seem to be repetitive. Factor everything in, look at your individual situations and add up the numbers before they take in your money!

I joined connections in January. I bought 8 quick and casual vouchers. We used 5 at B&C, saved $50 over actual bill. I have bought passes for my BIL and his family, 4-5 day hoppers. Plus, 8 of us are going down in September and I will be buying passes and Q&C tickets. We are staying at BCV and I will be buying 10-12 more Q&C.

Even if I do not buy anything else, I feel I have gotten my membership fee worth. Not sure if we will buy any of the other vouchers. Not sure if they are for us. But the Q&C sure are. Usually 2 of us share 1 certificate for a meal. This has to be the best value at Disney! Just IMHO.
I have had not had any problems with my orders, they were always right. (Crossing my fingers that this continues!)
