OK, replacement Wishblade adn blade (wouldn't want to ship them together) have finally arrived and we are in business! Here's my LO in Joyce's CJ:

Yes, those Mickey Head letters were cut out with my new toy. They were done with a free font I downloaded. How cool is that?

Wow! That looks really great! I love the lettering. Was it hard to do?

Here's how hard it was. Type in Word. CHange font to what you want, Then format, font, outline. Hit print. Change setting in cut menu to black (cut on teh black lines), hit ok. Cutter is set up just like a printer. I think it's easier to go from word than to use their software and their fonts. It takes me about 10 seconds longer than just to print a sentence.

I don't have a Sizzix, although as a CMC I do have all CM cropping supplies/shape makers. It was also birthday and anniversay combined. I also got a really good deal through an I Remeber When Consultant. It combines my love for scrapping adn for electronic toys, so I've had to have it since it was first discussed earlier this year. When you think that any font I can put into WOrd I can cut, so I don't need to buy their fonts, you've got to admit it becomes more cost-effective than the other die cut tools. Plus, there is a Yahoo users group that has TONS of shaopes to download adn I can convert most clip art to files that I can use. That's a little more time comsuming, but is sooo exciting. I am NOT good with frehand cutting, so this will be how I do paper piercing.

Now, I've got to find more time to play with it!!!

Oh wow....paper piecing?!?!?!? Having just make myself crazy trying to do that for the Ride swap I can really, really appreciate how great that would be!

I'm sure that you're right about the Wishblade being more cost-effective....my problem is more the inital outlay of money. It's much easier for me to "pocket" a few extra dollars at the end of the week from the budget to spend on scrapping goodies. They don't seem to get noticed or missed. You know? Maybe someday...

I had been looking at the wishblade a little before I got my wizard (which I am loving). But I didn't realize you could use your own fonts? How about other images, can you only use the shapes you get from them or can you cut any shape from your computer - like click art?

You can do clip art, but you have to outline it with their software, or some of the simpler things can be outlined right in Word. There are also many, many freebies to download from the users group. Glad you like it!

This is fantastic!!! Love the letters, and the background paper is just the right touch!!! I can't wait to see this one in real life!

And, I'm going to have to come over and crop sometime, just to see the Wishblade in action!

I loved the paper, it just felt "Giggly" to me. It also matched the colors on the stickers I had to go with the photos. The letters were just screaming to go on there. I love it when a plan comes together. That is one of my favorite cj LOs and it really took the least time!
