We just received our proofs, although we aren't up on Randy's website yet, and I did the same thing when I first looked at them. I was very critical of myself and my faces in the pictures. I went through them over and over, and really started to love the ones that I didn't like so much at first. We've also shown quite a few family members and they chose ones that I thought were horrible!! It's very difficult during the photoshoot to know what you are supposed to be doing. Randy does tell you where to stand, but you don't know whether you should smile, or keep a straight face. It is a lot of pressure!! We ended up forgetting that Randy was even there and talking to each other, which gave us the best candid pics. Like you said, you'll have more of those candids for the wedding. Either way, I think your pictures are beautiful and don't be too critical of yourself!!

I really like you pictures, they are great!! I also agree that there is a lot of pressure on a bride when it comes to pictures.. you just never sure what to do with your face.. do you smile, try to look normal, happy, etc??? I think more than anything everyone just needs to relax and try to forget that anyone is taking pictures. I have always loved the more candid shots over posed, formal portraits.

thanks lynn for the info! We're going to book a session sometime soon. DF says he wants them so he has something to get excited about..in his own words "I can see the point in getting excited about pictures....however I just can't force myself to jump up and down over the perfect champagne flutes or favor boxes" lol!

I thought these pictures were great! If you are concerned for your wedding, I would say talk to Randy. I had a long discussion with Randy before our engagement/ wedding shoot b/c well let's face it. I am awkward in front of the camera! =) I told him that he would have to help Leif and I more b/c we were not that natural in front of the camera. I know that this helped for me.

Thanks for all your help girls. I got the pictures in the mail yesterday and I love them,there are a few bad ones but the good ones I love. I showed them to a lot of people and they love them all. I was just being crazy. I do love them. I talked to Linda today and she is sending my cd out so I will post my favorites when I get them. Thanks!!
