If I've learned anything from this story I am about tell you is that you should never tell a Cast Member it's your birthday.

It was my first trip to WDW and it was also my 16th birthday present. Me, my mom, brother, aunt and cousins were at the Magic Kingdom and it was around Easter and open til midnight. We wanted to see the 10:00 fireworks and the 11:00 Spectromagic so we decided to catcha a late diner at The Plaza Resturant. My mom told our waitress that it was my birthday so when my cake came the hostess got everybody in the resturant's attention and told them to swing their napkins in the air and yell happy birthday loudly. An they did, it was so embarrassing, my brother couldn't stop laughing and the picture of me my mom has is not all that falttering.

yep! a birthday you will always remember! you got some magic that day. :O) happy belated!

My sister picked up a birthday button for me once at DLand, and had them put my real age on it - 45. A train conductor announced it over the PA and then had everyone sing Happy Birthday to me! Gee, thanks, sis!

:rotfl2: I think that may be a bit worse.

Something like that happened to my DD on her birthday last year!

She was wearing the birthday crown I got for her (she's 14 btw), and we were at Epcot. We were walking over to TT when we got close to one of those vendors that sell those huge balls.

When he saw her coming he started SCREAMING...OMG it's a princess..OMG...OMG..a BIRTHDAY PRINCESS!

Then to make things even more...umm..embarrassing, he then stopped an entire family from Sweden that DID NOT speak english, and had them "sort of" sing happy birthday to her!

That poor family had NO CLUE what was going on!

There was a really cute boy in the group though, so DD didn't mind tooo much! :teeth:

I'm guessing that you were mainly embarrassed because you are a teenager. Wait a few years, and you'll be happy someone, anyone, makes a fuss on your birthday.

DD12 would have LOVED that! Every birthday we do whatever she wants (within reason) but at the end of the night when we are leaving wherever she picked to eat her B'day dinner she puts on her bright pink, glittery "birthday princess" banner and parades around the restaurant waving the beauty peagent wave saying "good evening, it's my birthday". Everyone usually has a big smile and a happy birthday for her.DD7 on the other hand likes a party at home with a few friends and family, no big fuss just princess plates and of course gifts!
