will be here next week, in time for our trip to the World!
I got a Digital Rebel XT!
Now, let me say that I was VERY apprehensive about getting such an expensive camera when my photography has SUCKED. But I honestly think my camera could have been better. I love my current Canon (Powershot A510) but it's only 3 mp so when I have been enlarging, the shot gets crappy. I want to be able to zoom and crop. Also, the shutter lag is yucky -- it's fine if you are taking pics of adults, but I knew something had to be done when I took a series of pics of my 3 year old, all with her eyes half-closed, half a second after I pressed the button.
Sooooo, I am cannot wait for it to get here. I tried to hold back and not buy all the other accessories (YET) but I'm sure I'm going to pick up another lens and some filters shortly anyway.

But I'm looking forward to seeing the wonderful pictures you'll take with your new camera!!
I got it back in June as an early birthday gift and I am so pleased with it! I feel like I don't need to go to a professional photographer with this camera. It is awesome! I took this picture of my DD cropped it so it was from the waist up and had it printed to a 16 x 20 and it is incredible! Congrats on the new camera!!!
