Lynn, I think you found a great compromise. I'm happy something was able to be done. And either way...I would go for the upgrade on the diamond...lets be honest..what girl doesn't want the BIG diamond?? lol...as for keeping or selling back the other one, if you are in love with the stone, and you can afford it, I would keep it and tell DF to use it to make a special gift for your 1yr anniversary. Then you will still have the original diamond he proposed with. Either way...it is all going to be ok...and in the grand scheme of things..what is a 1" piece of metal and stone in a lifetime of love?

All of you did..We will pick out a diamond some time next week and go from there..then after that is all taken care of we can get weddings bands ..
